Styr's experiment #1. - Scenting physical objects.

I have an experiment in mind in a few days time. It basically involves giving a girl an object (in this case a puzzle to solve) which she will later return to me - whether she does solve it, or not.

This technique has worked quite well in the past, but now I plan on covering the object with a layer of pheromones. The idea is, that each time she tries to solve it she would be in contact with the pheromones and essentially be reminded of me.

I will report once I have done some field tests.

Any opinions are welcome.

I made a TARDIS for a girl and have been trying to decide what pheromones to hit it with when I give it to her myself  I made it as box and left the wood unfinished on the inside so it’s going to absorb whatever I hit it with well.

Glad someone else is thinking along similar lines.

This technique or procedure is called anchoring in NLP ( Neuro linguistic programming ) for those who want to research this subject further.

It sounds like the same thing I’ve been doing since I was a teen… spray a teeshirt with my cologne and leave it at my girlfriends house, or leave a clothing item with her that I’ve worn a couple of times since it has my scent on it.

Smell is the strongest sense associated with memory, afterall. Till this day if I catch a whiff of a specific perfume I’m reminded of a girl I had a crush on in Middle School, over 20 years ago.

Up the ante and factor pheromones into the mix and I think you’ve got one hell of a means to ensure you’re always on their mind.

Yes, this is bears some resemblance to anchoring, but is not the same thing.

So I gave two girls, independent of each other, a puzzle to solve. One of them got one with 2x Ammo sprayed on it, the other got a regular puzzle with no pheromones on it.

I did not notice anything out of the ordinary… except to the fact, that the puzzle I sprayed Ammo on, is still smelling of fragnance… 48 or so hours later. :stuck_out_tongue:
