Just got my first shipment in. I’ll list out what I have to start off with.
- AMMO

- IS (Thanks to everyone at Androtics for the gift =D)
I’m pretty eager to try it out.
I’m in my first field test. I have:
1s - AMMO
I decided that I should start slow and find the sweet spot before I start experimenting with more complex mixes.
Location is a coffee shop. But, unfortunately most of the people here are men. I do have to note that when I went to sit down there were 2 guys who were staring awkwardly at me. I was kinda weirded out by that.
There was although 3 asian girls that sat next to me. At first it seemed that they were affected. They weren’t as talkative with each other and seemed to look around as if looking for something. Eventually it seems that they got used to it and began to talk again.
I would have been all in there talking with them, but…they spoke Chinese. Don’t think I could get past the language barrier. Not to mention I’m actually here to work on a Personal Statement for my Law School application. Not really to flirt with girls ><
It is probably good to note that they keep turning over and looking at me every couple minutes. I’m not sure if they are talking about me…damn why didn’t I pay attention in those Chinese classes as a kid.
Anyways, I might be updating this more later today depending on if anything happens later.
Oh, I don’t know if anyone here has applied to grad school and made a personal statement but for those of you who have can you take a look at mine.
My Experiences, Dreams and Goals
Let me start off by saying that I did not grow up in a typical family or have a normal childhood. Although, both of my parents are Chinese, my mom’s side of the family went from China to Peru and they speak both Spanish and Toi Son Jua, a dialect of Chinese. While in turn my dad’s side of the family went from China to the US and speaks English and Cantonese, a different dialect of Chinese. My family comes from a mixture of American, Peruvian, Chinese, and Mexican culture; with the American culture as our primary.
My childhood was not full of playing and spending time outside with friends. I spent most of my childhood at my parents’ small “mom and pop” convenience store. At the age of 13 my dad had open heart surgery to fix an irregular heartbeat that my grandfather had died from 8 years prior. At age 15 my mom had a stroke. It was for these reasons that I felt compelled to take a more active role at my parents’ store. Throughout the time I was in junior high and high school I would go to work after school. Though, I could not be a clerk due to liquor laws on selling age.
This was also my first experience learning about liquor laws in AZ. I used the resources available to me through the local library and became knowledgeable on how they related to me. According to the liquor selling law of AZ a person can sell liquor at the age of 16 when the majority of the business transactions are not liquor. I also learned that AZ has many different types of liquor licenses and each follow many similar laws and some different laws.
It was during my time working there that I learned the essential leadership skills that have guided me to success as the manager of that very same convenience store. Instead of being taught how to throw a perfect spiral or how to talk to girls I was taught how to run and manage a group of people to achieve a goal. These skills have made me a strong leader although I feel that I am continuously humbled by knowing that I can learn from others with more experience or different experiences.
I believe that it is not only important to learn from work experience but also have a sense of community. During my years prior to undergraduate study I spent a lot of time volunteering at various charities and community projects. It was there that I learned how difficult life was for those less fortunate that I was. I made it my purpose in life to work towards a better world for everyone, especially those whose lives are plagued by hardships that they cannot overcome themselves.
It was during my undergraduate studies that I further narrowed my life goal. I spent time teaching art to children at a school for homeless children. At that moment I realized that the people who are the most hurt from hardships are children. I am now determined to support those non-profit organizations whose mission is geared towards children.
I want to use my purpose, experience and knowledge in business to become a corporate lawyer. I did not choose to become a corporate lawyer because it is ideal to fulfilling my life’s desire. Instead, I chose it because I feel based on my experience and expertise I can better help less fortunate people by supporting non-profit organizations as its attorney.
My life has brought me to this point, to writing this personal statement. The idea of studying law intrigues me, but it is the idea of practicing law that drives me. Throughout my life and in my travels I have learned how important laws are to everyday life, business, and well being of all people. But a person simply having the curiosity about laws is not enough to drive them to practice law. The ever changing and challenging world of law creates not only a burning desire for knowledge within me but the desire to put that knowledge into practice. I want to meet the challenge of practicing corporate law at the non-profit and international level head on.
