The Goliath Effect

In the Bible, Goliath the Philistine was a giant feared for both his size and strength. He mocked his enemies and his name was a legend. However, he was taken down by the smallest of adversaries: David. David the Israelite was a small, scrawny guy who defeated Goliath with a sling and a small stone. Despite all of Goliath’s overwhelming advantages, he was taken down by a small man who was unproven and inexperienced.

My actual name is David, however, I am in many ways similar to Goliath. I have many advantages that most guys lack–I am 6 foot 5 inches, I have great dark hair and powerful blue eyes, a charming smile, a sense of humor, and I am very intelligent. But all of those overwhelming advantages are rendered moot when I let the “David” in me (self-awareness about being skinny, an over-analytical mindset, and a doubtful, self-defeating attitude) stop me from utilizing my assets. I have coined this phenomenon “the Goliath Effect,” and this journal will be a record of my attempts to quell the doubts of David and unleash my inner Goliath.

How do pheromones play into this? My intended use for pheromones is to give me the confidence to succeed in my own personal self-improvement journey. By magnifying the positive aspects of me and mitigating the negative ones, I hope to reach the realization of my true potential as a human being in all areas of life, but especially in my interactions with women whom I am interested in dating.

Background Info:
I received my first shipment of pheromones in the mail about a week ago. Since then, I’ve been sweet spot testing Instant Openness and solo testing MX341.

Pheromone Used:
3S Instant Openness

Application Points:
1S Hair, 1S on each wrist.

Purpose:
Sweet Spot Testing

I applied 3 shots of Instant Openness before I left my apartment for classes today in accordance with my usual routine. Yesterday I tested 2 shots of IO, today I upped the dosage. I was around some of the same people today as yesterday, so I was able to notice the difference in effects.

A platonic friend I’ve known for several years is a nice girl, but she usually has a slightly negative attitude and doesn’t often smile. Both yesterday and today I was able to elicit several smiles from her and extended conversation after class was over before she had to leave and go to her next one (I have back-to-back classes in the same classroom, so I don’t have to move). This is very out of character for her.

I also conversed with another girl I’ve known for a couple of years who is usually very quite, I only talked with her briefly, but she seemed more receptive. I asked her about studying on Friday for a test we have next Monday (Organic Chemistry II), and she said she didn’t know yet, but to definitely text her. May have been a hit, may not have been, but I am including it for reference.

Those people left the classroom and another acquaintance of mine, we’ll call her “Z,” came in. I’ve only known Z for a few weeks, and she will answer my questions and politely respond to me, but that’s about it. Instant Openness has changed that drastically. Now she’s very chatty with me, she smiles, and she laughs at my jokes. Three shots of IO seems to have had a much greater effect on her than two, but the effect was still present with two. This is very unusual for her, and I enjoyed watching the results of the pheros.

I will continue testing pheros on her, as she sits in close proximity to me (right beside me, we have a seating arrangement in that class) and I know her baseline behavior well enough to accurately recognize unusual behavior she demonstrates in response to my pheromones.

That’s about it for my hits today. After class I returned to my apartment and took a nap before going out that night for dinner with my roommate and his brother-in-law. By then the pheros had worn off, and I didn’t want to reapply just for one conversation.

Three shots of Instant Openness seems to serve me much better than two. I’ll try four soon, but I believe I may have reached my sweet spot with this particular pheromone.
