Last night was a night out with friends, acquaintances and the like, at one of the popular local cafes for coffee, hot chocolates and everything sweet tooth. The occassion was one of my best mate’s last Saturday night out with his fiancee`and all their friends before they get married next weekend and go on their honeymoon. I was not sure who was going to be there before I arrived, so I was very carefull with the types of pheromones I applied and how much I applied. I decided on 3 togo sprays of IO shared between both wrists and 20mcgs of P74 applied on both sides of my neck, also on the back of my neck. I applied this all in my car before I walked into the cafe, and sat in my car for 5 minutes to let it all dry down.
It was a light drizzle outside last night, so I carried my umbrella with me (which came in very handy later, but not as a shelter from the rain). Get into the venue, all I see is familiar faces at our table, couples and a few single 30something males like myself. I sit up one end of the long table, 2 seats in from the end of the table, vacant seat on my left, single male on my right and 2 couples in my vicinity across the table from me. Immediately I feel a very upbeat vibe around the table, especially those who are seated at my end. Everyone around me is engaging in conversation with me, and some people who knew me before, but hadn’t seen me for a while were looking at me as if what had changed about me, like there was something new about me that they just couldn’t describe in words. Anyway, it felt like most people on the table seated in my area (all couples at this stage) had all turned their attention to me, like I was the gravity of centre of attention. It felt great at the time. The girl sitting directly opposite to me, with her husbnad by her side, as far as I was aware at the time was flirting with me, or so it seemed. She was telling me how she remembered the time I had broken my leg and was on crutches in the nightclub a few years ago, and she reeled off all the nicknames my mates call me. She has a GREAT memory, I’ll put it down to the flirting. My mate who was hosting the night out with friends, who was sitting at the other end of table, commented that I was looking very well tonight (I had dressed up slightly more than a few of the others, though). There were a lot of friendly smiles and glances from all the waitresses at me as they walked past my area of the table, and one stopped and had a brief chat with me as well.
Then I see a new face enter the venue and she joins our table. It turns out she is single, and from England. She is the cousin of my mate’s fiancee` and has come down under from England for 2 weeks for the wedding. She is petite, yet extremely gorgeous. There is a vacant seat between the guy sitting on my right and the couple to his right, and she decides to sit there, instead of to my left. Didn’t really care about or take much notice about this at the time. She is introduced to everyone at the table by my mate, as she is a new face to everyone.
After we all place orders I head for the bathroom as nature called. Also my togo bottles were calling. I decided to add 2 more togo sprays of IO shared between my wrists, to top up any that may have been lost already, and another 20mcgs of P74 around both sides + the back of my neck (now making the total application for the night 40mcgs of P74 and 5 sprays of IO).
As I arrive back at my seat I feel exclusive and confident, walking with a swagger and an air of grace. The couples seated around me once again look up as I catch their attention, like I’m immediately noticeable to them. I felt as if I was standing out to everyone, maybe I was. The single girl 2 seats to my right steals a glance in my direction, nothing more. The single male to my right was talking to me as if we are very good buddies, even though we are just acquaintances. Coffees and treats arrive, and I decide to pour waters for everyone in my vicinity.
After everyone was done putting down all the delicious treats, the conversations strated to flow from one end of table to the other. Everyone was taking napkins and sketching faces of each other
. I had a pen in my pocket, and drew my best sketch of myself and signed my name underneath. If this was a competition, I swear I would have won a prize for the most accurate sketch
. The table breaks up and people move around for photos. Sudenly I notice the seat to my right has been vacated and the single guy sitting there had moved to the single girls seat, which was one seat further down. When the single girl arrived back at the table after walking around to the other side to take photos with her 2 cousins, she sat next to me on my right, directly now between the 2 of us single guys. She crosses her legs towards me under the table, smiles at me her gorgeous grin as says “well snakeeyes, we finally get the chance to chat with each other” I tell her it’s a pleasure to meet her and we talk a lot of fluff talk like careers, how long she’s been in Sydney, what she likes about Sydney, how does London compare, etc. Nothing overtly sexual, but her body language was very positivelty towards me as opposed to the guy to her right now. We chatted for a good 10 minutes, I threw in some light forearm touching with her here and there in conversation. Our families have a lot in common. My sister is in the same profession as her, and I’ve dabbled in her profession, albeit very briefly, as well. So we had a lot in common and a lot to chat about. We stop chatting after a while and she moves to the other side of the table to sit with her cousins. I keep chatting small talk with both couples seated opposite me.
She moves back into the seat on my right when the bill arrives, and she and I are the last people on the table to pay our contributions to the bill. She doesn’t understand the Australian currency, and I gave her a hand with the payments and understanding how much she owed on the bill. She was so happy, she put her hand on my forearm and thanked me for helping her with the bill, she smiled and looked at me directly in the eyes when she did this.
We all moved outside and it had stopped raining, we were all just chatting on the footpath outside. I ended up chatting with the single guys from the gathering, mostly all the girls were grouped off together and the guys were talking amongst themselves about work, life, sport, women etc.
Some of us headed to the pub across the road to carry on the night out, while most left. I decided to go to the pub. The single girl from London came with us to the pub, and I was the only single guy left in the group by now, so she walked side by side with me down the street into the pub. Told her I wanted to get back into her line of again as I was currently really bored in my job and she was telling about all the benefits involved in her work.
We all get into the pub and head for the bar. I ask her if she’s drinking, she says she isn’t, but a few of the guys had a drink, so I also got a beer for myself. We sat down at a table in the bar, and I was sitting next to her. I was explaining how the shape of the pub here has changed over the years and what it used to be like a few years ago. She told me how she thought it was a great venue, as it was an outdoor pub, and the balcony upstairs looked very crowded. A lot more fulff talk about friends and accents and how everything seems to change over time, including people. I realised I was sick of holding the umbrella in my hand all night. I asked her for a HUGE favour - if I can put my mini umbrella in her handbag for the night and collect it from her before I left. She agrees, then jokes with me that she’s not responsible for it, and if I forgot to collect it or if somebody steals it she won’t be responsbile, but she said it in a very flirty, lighthearted tone with a smile and slight chuckle.
After a while she moves seats in the bar to chat with her cousin, and I’m stuck chatting with a couple at my end of the table again, this time mostly sport talk.
The night wound down about 20 minutes later. Turns out I didn’t have to come and find her to get my umbrella, she hunted me down to give it back to me, gave me a kiss goodbye, pleasure to meet you etc, look forward to seeing me at the wedding etc etc. She left with her cousin who dropped her home. I left the pub about 10 minutes after that, chatting with one of the single males (who turned up a little later) about the glamorous women of Sydney that we see roaming around our city every day.
