The vomeronasal organ (VNO) also has a direct link to the Limbic system, which is one of the most primitive areas of the brain, and it’s still debated and unproven as to whether that link is active or gone the way of the Appendix.
I have read that Androstadienone has been proven to be transmitted through the VNO, but that no other pheros have as of yet been substantiated to affect the VNO.
A Zero Nerve found in whales and confirmed in humans makes a great deal of sense to me, and I’d venture a guess that the nerve also exists in dolphins, monkeys and other mammals of higher intelligence. I have not had an opportunity to fully read up on it, but my guess would be that the Zero Nerve is linked to a section such of the brain such as the Septum; the pleasure center section of the brain.
