And what a hit ! Evidence of TUTH undesired effects…
Last weekend we went to my girlfriend’s best friend’s birthday party. 30 years to celebrate in a disco saturday night ! We almost all had disco costumes, afro wigs and so on. Very colorful !
This group of friends is what I’ve always called the -noners : natural -none producers. So to keep my level as high as theirs, I put on 3 sprays of TUTH : one for each wrist, split with neck sides, and 1 spray on the upper-chest.
No real hit as I was just like almost every other young guy.
Dinner was buffet, and as I was going back to my seat after serving my girlfriend and myself, an elder man, with casual wear and a redden face, started talking to me while I passed behind him (between his chair and the wall, the only tight way to get back to my seat). I didn’t really notice and the next sentence I didn’t understand but I was surprised as the tone was a bit aggressive. And I had never ever met him before !
This guy was a dance machine. He made girls dance old rock with him, always the same way, not so bad, but he forced girls to dance with him, chasing them, stepping on the table we were eating on !
No need to tell you I didn’t really like his wild and forceful style.
Later during the night, friends asked me to do some magic tricks, play “lie to me”, we were all having great time. The music stopped and we kept on doing card tricks. And suddenly, that guy comes again, clearly pissed, and starts saying I was not a magician but a cheater, that there was no magic but only cheats and silly trickery and that if he shuffled the cards, spread them and asked me to pick up an Ace, I wouldn’t be able to do it.
He took the cards, asked a friend to shuffle them and spread them, and then he said “Well, now you’re trapped cuz you can’t find the ace, uh?”
He kept on saying silly annoying things despite me finding an ace twice (oh I was really lucky! ) in front of my friends’ amazement.
I had to clearly tell him he was spoiling our time by telling him he was a great pain in the neck and that if he wasn’t a magician then he could shut up.
He kept on spoiling our time saying he was just a slater which I answered in English telling him “well, my job is not being a magician, I teach English for adults and not assholes like you cos you don’t get a word do you ?”
And his son, who was pissed as well, started throwing the key of his veeery nice car saying “I’m sure you can’t find the ace, I can bet my car, my house, all that you want you won’t find it”.
We stopped there otherwise I would still feel guilty for stealing a wanker’s car…
Outside, as we were having a fag, they were leaving. the old crappy drunken dance machine led his hand to mine to shake hands saying “no rancor?” with a big smile. My friend who was celebrating her birthday and who hadn’t seen the scene told him “oh you weren’t very nice! he was doing some magic for everybody’s fun”. He replied, in the megalomaniac overmanly way"hey, you know, in life, you’ve got to take risks! I take risks, and the pseudo-magician took risks".
I had to reply… “well, what risks did you take ? You told me you gave advice to others but didn’t bet, and when I found the aces twice, you didn’t do anything to TRY to find them. Now, as for rancor, I’m used to dealing with wankers like you, so there’s no problem for me, but for all the other people whose fun you’ve spoiled, so I’m not going to shake your hands until you go to apologize to them”
I’m not used to be so direct with people and my girlfriend and her friend were quite amazed. The guy just said “ha!” and left.
They were surprised he behaved this way. I would give the credit to TUTH.
They were surprised I talked like that. I would give the credit to TUTH.
