The thing is, I have a revision of an university exam scored 4.6 out of 10 (need a 5 to pass) and they don’t usually are very into change the calification of the exam (they are very conceived and don’t assume their errors).
I would like to use pheros for helping me to pass the exam with a 5.0, maybe convincing them that I really deserve more score in some questions (A314?), maybe being a nice guy (Shine±ols?), or maybe convincing them I need the score (p79+ TA??)…
What strategies and pheros do you recommend for this situation? Please give me your opinions on this :o It’s one of the last subjects I have on my career.
I have never in 25 years of teaching changed an exam grade. Not once. Zippo. And I have been begged, threatened and offered cash and sexual favors. I did give the sex a second thought–she was hot–but I was untenured at the time figured I didn’t need the grief.
The thing is that they change grades there, it’s only that they never have changed mine, but I have seen many times they change others’ (this is the normal thing, everybody can be wrong). So, what are your advices to wear and to behave there? I will talk face to face with the teacher or teachers involved in the revision.

PD: Geogi, don’t take it bad but, don’t you even think you can be wrong sometimes? never? We are all human and can be wrong sometimes, it’s a thing of responsability and recognizing own errors. Even once I suffered a case where teacher wrongly made a sum with my notes and lowered my mean, and he didn’t even correct it. It’s not very fair huh?
I have graded exams in the past and have met many students who wanted a hike here and there. Convincing teachers that you deserve more is not really going to work because if they thought you deserve they would have already given you those points, unless ofcourse you can point out an egregious mistake in their grading.
The only thing that I have seen working is to convince that you need the score for continuing your scholarship or retaining that job offer or something of that ilk.
Even then it’s a tricky situation for the teacher as by raising your points he is not being fair to other students. But if you are the only one who has not passed and you come across as sincere and forthright I personally would consider raising your grade.
After all it’s about educating the student. Teachers don’t want to set a wrong example, but if they feel the student understands the gravity of the situation and won’t take this to mean that he can slack some more later on as well then he might consider it.
nbully79 I agree with all that you say, but there are some cases (i am an associated teacher in university, only give leasons and practices, but don’t correct) that their opinion about a score is very voluble (at least here), I know there are many profesionals but i have seen here teachers that don’t even come to an official convocatory of an exam (I have to go there as an urgency and take care of the exam) and teachers that tell me in a joke while having cofee “Yesterday Liverpool and Real Madrid won, i was so happy I passed all exams i corrected, today I will have to be tougher”.
He’s my boss so I must shut up, but, this gives me an idea that not everybody in university (in fact, in my opinion there are few) are responsable and coherent.
Anyway, despite the part I know that if teacher likes you scores you a little higher (proven thing, at least here in some teachers), there is another part that I want to achieve; there are sometimes where there is a clear teacher error (sum error, he didn’t see a part of your answer, he corrected every other much higher with the same answer as you not even using his beautiful evaluation criteria sheet… etc), and there are some that won’t change your score even if every other teacher is saying he blew it and he must correct it.
So what I want to achieve with this mix is to make the teacher like me (in case he/she could be one of those few that scores a little higher if so) but WHAT I REALLY WANT from this mix is that if I really really really deserve something (not a subjective thing) I must transmit the idea that they must change my score because they have not been fair with me.
Sorry about my english, I hope I expressed myself clearly, I don’t really want a christmas present, I want to be evaluated without taking in count i am an associated teacher in other department that is taking their money for investigation… I want to be evaluated just like any other one and get the score that I deserve. They have to use their evaluation criteria sheet for everybody, it is there because of something. If the sheet says I deserve 2 points, I deserve 2, not 1.5 because yesterday lost your favorite team or 2.5 or 3 if won.
I repeat it does not affect the teacher community, i have many partners that evaluate very well, and if they are wrong, correct it, and, if they aren’t they don’t give more score. But there are some less profesional people (like in everywhere else).

Thank you for your answer, Nbully, i was thinking in 4x CTTM2, 3x IS, and 1x A314 (I need to take me serious or that they see I understand the subject). Now that you have said “pushy” i think i will think about wearing A314 and probably wont. Do you think is better Instant Honesty than CTTM2 for this situation? What about Spaceland?
I haven’t used CTTM or Spaceland. I am just thinking a-nol might not be the best. But CTTM might be okay since it has equal amounts of b-nol.
IH has worked very well for me in serious meetings. 1 drop A314 might not be bad after all if you are adding 4X CTTM and 3X IS with it.
Just decide on exactly what you plan to tell the teacher about why you think you should get a higher grade.
Of course I would correct an error if I made one. Normally I double check everything and it’s extremely rare for one to slip by. Nevertheless, the only fair grade is the one you earned. What happens all the time is students ask for a better grade because they somehow believe they are entitled to one, i.e., they’re cute, charming, they need it, they feel they deserve it because they paid for tuition, BF dumped them, etc. Doing the work and earning the grade doesn’t seem to creep into their little brains. The only reason to change a grade after the fact is professor error, and it is our duty to be accurate and fair. However to input a grade a student didn’t earn is dishonest and unprofessional. It also can get a nontenured professor fired if word got out they flavored certain students.
As I hinted before, the only truly tempting offer I’ve received for a grade change was a fuck, and I turned it down.
My little brain only wants what he deserves. Yo’ teachers oh’ old lord o’ knowdledge are human beings too, although they might have forgotten, and they may have made an error, it’s good from time to time to come down from the cloud and consider that possibility. After admiting an error, it would be great if he correct the degree I simply deserve. Of course that the only fair grade is the one I earned, that is exactly what I am saying.
It’s only that sometimes they’re simply not fair, if all teachers that correct one exam have the same correction criteria sheet, they can’t give me less for the same exam than another pupil has or that another teacher gives, more than that, they can’t simply say no to change my degree when they have failed to do a simple sum and division if are requiring me to double-shitty-integrate-a-mild-non-but-almost-linear-equa-thingie and I have done it perfect… if he has made an error with the mean of my cualification, he must correct it, and I am not begging; I am demmanding it… if my mean is a 5.7, I want a 5.7, not a 4.6 and I think THIS is dishonest and unprofessional, also; It’s my cualification, it’s my degree, it’s my career and it’s my life what they are fucking like this.
I am no 18 year old boy just discovering world, I know what I am saying, I don’t want christmas presents with my degrees and I am sure there are many people in this profession that are legal, fair and coherent but, I have been working inside for two years now and, sometimes a lot of work-companions and I (all teachers) feel that sicilian mafia has nothing to do in front of some people here . There are some curious things about our great educative system at least where I work that would leave anyone like this , if any of you are university teachers, you should know what I am talking about.
I am sorry if I was misunderstood when said “conceived and don’t recognize errors” beacuse people here thought I was refering to all teachers, I obviously didn’t mean that (I give classes at university, too), I only was refering concretely to certain people here that we must admit they exist (like in every sector).
Also I would appreciate not to be judged like this without knowing my specific case; it’s very complicated and it’s no “Ticha!Ticha!I want more points!”. There are many things inside this and that is why I asked for help with the mix, I wanted it to be as perfect as possible and I would be very grateful (seriously) to receive some opinions and ideas instead than the educative sermon I am receiving, I already know and agree with most of it, but it simply not my case, not even close.
I think I would use one only drop of A314 mixed with 3x Instant Shine and… that’s my doubt : 4x Instant Honesty? or 4x Come Talk To Me Mix 2? Do you think a-nols would help? b-Androstenol must be included (thank you nbully). Another thing, do you think p79 would be useful for him to want to do something about his error (one p79 effect I have noticed) or would it have the other effect I noticed (putting him into argue some more with me)… It can amplify the little -none in the A314 but I hope it’s not a problem, what do you think about adding p79?

Hopefully it wasn’t an essay exam. Nevertheless by posting in a public forum you open yourself to all manner of advice and even a little stone throwing. You can’t filter out what you don’t want to hear. Otherwise don’t bother to post. We don’t know you and only have your prose to judge your motivation and character. Judging from your writing style and off the cuff comments, I figured you were just another slacker. Hopefully I’m wrong. Where I teach you must score at least 7 out of 10 to pass. 4.6 or 5 counts as zero.
If it’s a male professor, wear a lot of EST and beta nol.

I have a couple female colleagues that mentioned male students had come on to them. One ignored it but was upset and the other just laughed (I think she was amused). I’ve not heard of any cases of sexual harrasment, but 2 of of my male students bragged to me about affairs with female professors. I don’t know if it was true or not. The female professor next door to me married a former student 15 years her junior. Marriage only lasted about a year. Hell, I was married to one of my former students too…
