When I got a bottle of Instant Gentleman as a freebie I was disappointed. “What am I going to do with this?” I thought.
I decided to test it alone and then with Ammo. I was not impressed. I set the bottle to the side.
Fast forward 8 months. I was looking through the posts to see what I should wear at an interview. I had worn A314 to another interview but did not get the job.
Almost all of the posts I read said to wear A314 but in every case the poster never came back to the post to say whether they got the job or not.
I thought about maybe using MX297. I decided not to because it might make the interviewer chatty and unprofessional. And it might make me look more like a friend than a potential employee. On the other hand I thought who better to hire than a (perceived) friend.
I continued to read through the posts about what to wear for an interview. I came across a post about someone who wore IG to his interview. He came back later and said the interview went well and he got the job.
2 sprays of IG to the neck 15 minutes before the interview. The interview lasted almost an hour. I was called for a follow up interview with 2 managers. 2 sprays of IG 10 minutes before the interview. I got the job.
Did u notice any different behavior during the interview ? what was the position ? and how were you placed for the job… right experience… a little less experience / relevance etc… Just trying to figure your if you really got a leg up with IG or its just the boost in confidence
This is the big question. What was the effect of the IG? Would I have gotten the job without using IG? Well, I’d worn A314 to an interview with a different company and did not get the job…
The economy being what it is there are now a minimum of 4 applicants for every job. The company that I interviewed with was looking for someone with experience in the field which I had. But, I think that the IG played a big role in that I came across as personable, trustworthy and friendly. These are all attributes that I have but I think that the IG magnified those attributes.
That being said the IG may have given me a leg up on someone who was more charasmatic while my work experience may have given me a leg up on someone just out of college with a degree.
As far as self effects I would say that the IG did not really help because while I was confident that the IG would have some effect, I was too concerned about getting the job to notice. The IG did make me feel little more suave than usual.
On a sort of side note, I followed up my interview with a thank you letter (e-mail) and the reply from one of my interviewers (the female) was “It was a pleasure to meet you too.” Mind you I never mentioned anything about pleasure in my thank you e-mail
