Whats the best way to remove mones from your application spots and cloths?

I noticed when I wash my application spots with water and soap. The smell of mones still stays on my hand. I want to remove it completely.
Please give me an effective solution.

80 grit sandpaper on a belt sander??:smiley::smiley:

Seriously, soap and water seems to work OK for me, but ~NONE does seem to linger more than most.

Anone builds up when used regularly..the others should wash off your skin fine with soap and water. So if you use Anone daily you should take a day off of it every three days or so.

The best you can generally do is to wash with soap, then apply high % hydrogen peroxide, and give yourself a concentrated blast of ozone.

And that high % Hydrogen Peroxide can be found at beauty supply stores. Hair care/dye aisle.

Whoa, you don’t want to do that! The % beauty shops sell is dangerously corrosive.

There’s sometimes a slightly higher % version found at pharmacies. Higher than normal, but not enough to burn.

Hmmmm. Our pharmacies don’t offer anything other than the “regular” stuff. I’ve looked. And asked (but it was some time ago). When I needed high % peroxide (but I can’t recall why I did at the moment… some project or other) I got some ot the beauty supply place and diluted it down. It comes in a variety of strengths at the supply shop near me. They had like 20%, 30%, 40% (may have had 10% too). Pharmacy is/was 3%

What % level are you talking about Mr. H?

No more than 5%.

I just noticed the title of the topic says “and clothes”.

To remove pheromones from your clothing, use Oxi-Clean (sodium percarbonate) in your wash, or have your dry cleaned (which uses solvents that will dissolve the pheromones in fibers, and rinse them away).

I don’t have Oxi-Clean in my country. Any idea where/how to find similar products/ingredients for removing pheromones from clothing?

Is sodium percarbonate available separately as a household item?

I use Hydrogen Peroxide (5%) & Nioxin (anti-androgen shampoo) to remove pheromones from my skin. Works pretty well!

Thanks.

I got in the habit of sitting in the sauna after working out…not really trying to lose weight, its just really refreshing. Would that prevent pheromone build up?

Its good for clearing out your pores=) Since pheremones or any oils you put on seep into your skin over time I’d say yes. If you want a real cleaning I suggest the “steam room” as the moisture will help. Add some ucalyptus to help also refresh yourself; it is a common EO used in steam rooms.

We have a steam room at our gym, but its kinda rank. Smells like a massive androstenone overdose.

I just bought the “Oxy-Clean” equivalent, it’s available as “Vanish Power O2 Max” in my country (a multi-purpose stain remover). Active ingredient (>30%) Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate aka Sodium Percarbonate.

Technical Information
Chemical Name: Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate
Synonyms: Sodium Percarbonate, Sodium Carbonate Peroxide, PCS
Molecular Formula: 2Na2CO3.3H2O2
Molecular Weight: 314.02
CAS Number: 15630-89-4

Oxy clean’s the shit=) just about one of the best stain removers I use on my whites. If oxy clean cannot get a stain out, then that means its at that point where I’d pretty much have to buy a new set of whites.

Personally as I wash my clothes after every wearing (standard commercial detergent eg Tide) I haven’t noticed any pheomone or cologne buildups. The only exceptions are some sweatshirts and sweaters that I may wear 2 to 3 times before washing, and my outer jackets and coats that may see a cleaning once a month (if that…). As the products are usually applied to my body or undergarments I don’t think there is very much of a “transfer,” nor can I say I’ve ever seen any firm evidence of OD from non-washing. Although I admit I sometimes compensate in terms of how much I apply of “new” pheromones/colognes if I know I will be wearing yesterdays sweater…

Ever since I’ve been using H2O2 + Nioxin (on skin) & the “Oxy-Clean” equivalent (for clothing), the responses from my pheromone combos are more consistent. I keep the H2O2 in a spray bottle, it’s convenient.

Perhaps the detergent I use is not up to par, as cologne scents tend to stay after a wash. But after adding the “Oxy-Clean” equivalent, I don’t smell the cologne on clothes anymore.

The Nioxin anti-androgen shampoo is more expensive. Could there be a cheaper alternative? Thanks.

Ammonia seems to work on my clothes. Just add a cup to the washload.

This is likely a dumb question, but I have never let that stop me in the past haha. 9% is sold here for oral hygiene use - if okay to gargle with, why wouldn’t it be okay to apply to skin?

Pheroquirk,
Are you sure that’s not .9%?
My bottle says 3%, and they reccomend you dilute it by half for gargling. I’ve gargled with it straight up, and got a sore mouth from it.

15% in the lab where I work warns that it causes instant skin burns.
