i’m not talking paranoia or OD’ing. I mean, on the average day, what do you experience is your radius of contact for your pheros?
I seem to notice different ranges with different pheros, and even each phero has different effects on different people. One girl may have no effect, but another girl may be feeling it just right. or, for more social pheros, it may work close-range and not far.
yesterday, using ammo again, I used about 1.7 sprays. 1 to upper chest, and another to my abs. Both times I held the bottle far away and the second time i tried to get the spray to only graze my body lightly. that’s why i assume it was around 1.3. but I also had possible residue (of 1 spray, diminished residue) from the day before, so that would make around 1.7.
anyhow, my range was around 10ft for a few girls. I almost seemed borderline OD but since ammunition is not raw androstenone, everything balanced out fine. I also used a cover scent.
does anyone even care about their range or is it something you don’t really pay attention to? I don’t think it matters much, I was just curious, though i know that a lot of different variables play into it also. i’m in california where the air is fairly dry/warm so pheros move around easily also.
just wondering what your guys’ experience has been with ranges.
I’m curious to see what ranges people are experiencing, too.
Loads of different factors can influence diffusion. Each different fragrance of ours has varying diffusion rates and different chracteristics. Some fragrances, like the womens’ Chocolatini, have a very far throw, up to 20 feet in some places.
Humid and hot weather decrease diffusion a bit. (That’s why we offer hot weather fragrance packs on request.)
When its humid, the molecules stick to your skin a little more, making it tough for them to really leap off your body and into people’s noses.
Humans can choose to ignore or delay biological urges. We do it everyday by waiting to go to bathroom, skipping a meal or not having sex with your friend’s wife although she came on to you.
Thus, when pheromones appear not to work, I think there is far more at play than the pheromones, body chemistry, humdity, airflow, etc. Human attraction is complicated by social and cultural issues, plus the thorny area of personal preferences. Although each person may respond to pheromones at a primal biological level, this response is filtered out by social and cultural matrices. In other words, a target may sense the pheromones at a biological level not respond outwardly because they don’t believe in encouraging strangers, you’re the wrong race or your clothing looks funky.
Yes! All right! This is an excellent and important point. It takes some time to realize that the impact of pheromones takes place at the non-verbal, unconscious level but that the response can be “vetoed” by an act of will, or can be suppressed / repressed.
Today, I wore A314, Instant Honesty and Instant Shine to a meeting attended by about a dozen managers who all have more positional authority than I do; most of them I met for the first time today. No doubt they (have already) will be giving informal evaluative feedback – first impressions from how I contributed to this meeting – to my one-, two-, and three-up managers.
While they can’t respond overtly to the pheros during the meeting, I still have no doubt that their impressions are shaped by the molecular messages. And as long as my behavior is congruent with the molecular messages, the pherosignature I offer them underscores and highlights the character of my behavior – making it easier for them to notice, unconsciously AND consciously.
I seem to get about 5-10 feet radius, but it’s effects are minimal at the post 5 feet area.
Best effects are in very close proximity. I have seen effects from a trail, or diffused in an area if i’m constantly moving around in a set location.
Unscented doesn’t diffuse well (as expected) but seems to do ok if you apply it then cover with a314.
Neroli works best 5 ft or less but can have effect further is you have a captive audience.
Akuto, inconclusive because it’s so strong and I don’t realy like to use it at normal doses.
Pherogame is my favorite (fragrance #7). I noticed that it diffused readily and effects would be seen at over 5 feet. It’s a mild scent, very light, so reaplication is ok. It may shorten the life of the aplication though.
Upon doing research on putative I stumbled across a post by Jasmin stating that pherogame has long range diffusion ability. I would definately have to agree. (I came to my conclusion about pherogame prior to reading Jasmin’s post, so it isn’t a placebo effect)
The only times I’ve noticed what could be effects from what I’m wearing the subjects were all within about 6 feet of me. Increased conversation at the table while dining out (4 to 6 feet), a DIHL at a take-out counter (subject in question was about 6 feet away), sitting on couch (3 to 5 feet), etc. But also note I’m a “minimalist” when it comes to applications. I may only have on 1 or 2 sprays/drops/dabs of a product. I haven’t done much experimentation with “loading up” or doing OD levels.
The “sillage” is the key, I think. If you’re more or less stationary, you could have a pherocloud around you; if there are air currents – gentle air currents – then your cloud might stretch along the current. If there are turbulent air currents, your cloud could be distributed chaotically.
But suppose you’re in a space without heavy air handling equipment working. Also, suppose you are moving around, from place to place. Now you’re leaving a more or less coherent sillage “trace” that follows your track. Every individual you pass by gets a whiff of your trace.
And don’t discount the pherocloud, either. You stand in place near the bar, and in five minutes the edge of your cloud reaches the door… someone walks in, and it seems impossible that they can ‘sniff’ you that far away, but in two steps they CAN inhale and from the beginning of that intake of breath to the end, they MIGHT sense a gradient that can pinpoint you as the source.
Note that perhaps not everyone will be able to do that, but some people could have more acute noses than others. It might be a mistake to judge the capabilities of your phero-audience by your own sniffing skills.
This is a difficult question to answer. Each product is different, the phero’s, the delutant, the scent, all add to its diffusion & sillage power.
Your skin type, weather and where, how you apply come into effect as well.
Easier to give an ex. :
Ammo range is 2 meters, Turn Up The Heat is 3, warm weather, same application (1 spray neck + 1 wrists). If you are standing still it is more focussed than moving, but it takes 20-30 seconds to be noted.
1 spray ?, then halve the distance.
Oil products are usually work at less distance, say 1 meter to 2. 2 drops diffuse better but can be too much (RP, Primal Instinct etc).
