IJ can work brilliantly in the wild - You just need to choose the right places to use it ,mainly where you can make best use of its properties.
Don’t wear it to work, school, around families or in polite company as it will only piss-off or cause people to ghost you. Save it for parties, clubs, rowdy or alpha-laden bars and the like. Situations where inhibitions are much less and can be acted-on.
Even then, expect the IJ to alienate a lot of people but when you do find someone tuned-in to the signature, the results should be pretty good! 
And yes, watch the guys around you - IJ can trigger aggressive/competitive responses better than many other pheros, especally around drunk or otherwise charged-up guys (and even the odd woman), but you will also have an advantage because of the IJ, so it seldom comes to anything more than banter - and the more alpha/secure the guy, the less likley they are to be bothered by the IJ.
I agree with the above but I need to add when wearing IJ, you also need to act the part. I’m not saying to act like a douchebag or some dickhead rather don’t be shy, timid or meek when using IJ.
You may get shit tested by chicks - just don’t get flustered when you do. My typical response to to flip the script on them and turn it around.
