Woman during their period

ok, are women more sensitive and susceptible to pheromone products during their period?

In my experience no. However their reactions are markedly different than post-mensuration. Some are actually much more horny, others feel sick don’t want to do anything but sleep and others mean 'n moody. Run for cover or quickly spray them with Instant Female Magic or A-1 .

They are supposed to have a more positive reaction to -none when they’re ovulating (middle of cycle), and a more negative reaction when they are at the end of cycle. Androstadienone (Instant Female Magic main phero) is very good for these end-of-cycle days , indeed.

At the moment I don’t remember anymore of this… if anyone knows any more cycle-dependent-pheros, please post them!

You mean like police armed with pepper sprays?! Step back or be sprayed.

I agree with that in principle. Having said that, I found they react most adversely during the peak of the cycle. As flood water starts to receed (ie not when they are not fully out of it), they are once again open to some loving. Not that it’s my thing; clean-up can be a chore.:frowning:

OMG, hahahahahhahah!!!

Actually there was a study done some years ago where researches dabbed androstenone on cotton wipes and had women sniff them during different point of their cycle. Generally most women were repelled by androstenone except during ovulation. During ovulation the researchers characterized reactions as being more tolerant rather than positive!

So, if the only known effects of -none is that, luckily, we are “tolerated”, why do we use it so much? If found it to be very effective indeed in sexual situation and for attracting. Any ideas?

Yeah, cops on a cotton pad repel me as well! Cops inbetween the legs of a beautiful woman is different story. I imagine androstenone is somewhat similar. They wanted to study the pheromone isolated from all social and physical aspects. Add in a live sweaty but handsome man and I’m sure some women would be repelled yet attracted enough to lick the salt off his whatever.

In Japan androstenone is widely held to be an undesirable thing–repels women–and products are sold to inhibit production. So reception of androstenone varies with individuals, race and culture.

I always wondered what ‘repelled’ meant more specifically. I mean it’s hard to love the stench of 'none - purely as a scent, it’s hardly surprising that it doesn’t have many fans. It would be interesting to know the limbic brain response to none with a cover scent. (Ie if she is a little bit turned-on despite the unpleasant scent she may not be aware of this and/or may not be inclined to report it).

I’ve noted the repelling effect for young Asian females even with excellent cover. However, if they like me, they’ll come back for more punishment on another day. Eventually they seem to get used to it, the effects, not the smell. They never get used to the smell…

This might be tmi as although I consider such things to be natural and part of life, I am aware other might feel differently.

As some of you may know from my previous posts - I love the smell of turn up the heat, no matter where I am in my cycle. I find it reassuring and sexy in a masculine way…

(I’m 43, I add this because I know it has an effect.)

But, it strikes me that this might be a factor and so worth posting here, even if it is personal info. (Cringe) :open_mouth:

I do not get, and never have got pre-menstrual tension or pre-menstrual syndrome ( PMT or PMS whichever acronym you prefer).

I know I am very, very lucky not to be affected, but I am now wondering if this is why I can huff (LOVE that phrase, thanks Dolly!) turn up the heat direct from the bottle for hours and LOVE it - no matter where I am in my cycle, but other women hate it post-ovulation?

Ordinarily I would not discuss my cycle in this much depth in a public forum, as it can be offensive to others, either culturally or otherwise - but I am wondering if the women not repulsed by Turn Up The Heat at some point in their cycle are the ones that do not suffer PMS or PMT?

I find this possibility interesting enough to over-ride my sensitivities, I hope no one else feels embarrassed by it. Please accept my apologies if you do!

The very nature of a pheromone forum pretty much precludes embarrassment or offense concerning sexuality and related natural body functions. May you are far too thoughtful and polite!

But, yes, women are all different and when it comes to such matters. I think we guys prefer a one-answer-fits-all aproach, but, alas, it just ain’t so.

May, it’s very kind of you to give us your opinion in such polite form. It’s very interesting what you ask, maybe other women can answer?

I like the smell of 'none throughout my cycle, and I do get PMS.

But I’m into smells/perfumery and have pretty broad tastes, so I’m not typical as far as scent goes.

Carrie, May, have you tried smelling plain -none without aditives and not-scented?

I had a GF that smelled of androstenone after she worked out. It wasn’t a nice scent and was repelling to me but strangely a turn-on after I got used to it. I hate the smell of none outta a bottle but when tied to a hot woman is a different story. She was a real gym rat and could kick my ass.

Hiya

No, I’ve only ever smelled it in scented products.

Without added scent, none smells somewhere between workout armpit and cat urine. And, for those that want to know, cat urine does contain a lot of androstenone.

I am 41. I dont get PMS and never have. I love the smell of Turn up the Heat on a man or off. I have smelled none unscented from the bottle and I like it even though it smells sort of acidy and sort of like pee. Its not something I would want to sit around huffing out of the bottle but on a man it sort of blends with there own natural scent and is very appealing. Maybe it has more to do with Alpha or Beta personalities in women whether they will react well to it. If you pay attention to the forum you start to see who is alpha and who is more of a Beta and most of the Alphas have reported liking the smell of none based products. Lori, countesszero, I believe Dolly, Carrie, May, Jasmin, Myself and more. Of course this is just my own therory LOL.

Like Carrie I am into scents but I lean more towards aromatherapy then I do perfumery. I do love perfume though and scented bath products but when I make my own its for aromatherapy purposes.

I also have a wide range in scents that I like so I may be an exception when it comes to tolarating the smell of none. I like the smell of cops as well even though I register that they smell like butt cheese it dosnt really bother me. I only cover them as to not offend others but I can wear them without cover with no problem.

I think Gegogi is right and there is no " one anwser fits all " recipe with pheromones. You can wear them out in public and get hits from some and repel others. If you have a target or a type of target you are looking for you just have to find the right combo for that perticular personality and stick with it.

I don’t have chemset 'none; I’m basing my opinion on unscented The Edge/w and NPA/w, and unscented The Edge/m gelpacks.
