I’m 19 (20 in a month!), female, located in Los Angeles. I guess I’m what you could call reserved – I’m selectively outgoing, and feel far more comfortable in smaller one-to-one situations. Recently, social situations with large numbers of people have started to…frazzle me a bit, although I used to thrive on high energy and lots of people. It’s part of this social anxiety/nervous issue of mine that comes and goes, I think. I can be both quiet and loud – again, it depends on the situation. I think my close friends see me as somewhat crazy, but those who don’t know me might perceive me as somewhat aloof. Also, I’m a tiny Asian girl, and have been told that I play off the cute Asian stereotype very well, but with a twist. I curse like a sailor, have huge curly dyed hair (it used to be bright red!), dress somewhat “artistically” (or so I’ve been told), and overall more than likely stand out in a crowd. I’m probably more dominant than submissive, as I usually have very strong opinions and defend them voraciously, but if the topic is something I’m apathetic about, I’m very very very passive (to the point of non-participation). At the same time, I’m not particularly interested in being the center of attention, so I’ll downplay a lot of my emotions for the sake of staying out of view (which doesn’t really work because of my appearances…)
I hope that’s enough information about myself. Anyway, I’m planning on using pheromones for two primary reasons: a scientific interest (social experimentation) and something to help my lacking self-esteem. The former because I’m extremely interested in social interactions and would love to see how using pheromones would affect a given situation and the latter because I think pheromones could aid in re-teaching me how to interact in social environments after my social hibernation this year. I’m still terribly anxious around large groups of people and it doesn’t help that I always get looks based on my physical appearance, it’s a lot of pressure for me.
In terms of social spheres I’d use this in, quite honestly, nearly everything. I’m looking for a job and hoping this will help in job interviews, my friends all throw a lot of parties regularly and perhaps this would calm my nerves at them, I used to go dancing quite a bit so at clubs, and at school because I realize that I actually do have to talk to my classmates to make connections for further job opportunities (being an artist is all about connections, anyway).
So yeah!
