30ml bottles sold in store

Hey Mharris. If I put mones in these bottles will they be reuseable??? If so then what is a good way of cleaning them to get rid of any sort of perfume or pheremone? Any special soaps? Hot water? chemicals?

Put in a good solvent like chloroform, and give it a good shake, and a few sprays of the pump to clear that out.

No, seriously, you don’t have to use anything nearly as strong as chloroform.

This is a good time to use isopropyl alcohol, actually. It’s a cheap cleanser for nonorganic matter (i.e., better for bottles, than skin)

It will clean out the glass totally, dissolving the remnants of the last product, allowing it to be physically carried away. Glass is basically nonporous, and won’t hold residue or odors once cleaned.

The plastic components, however, are porous. With most friendly solvents (i.e., ones that won’t dissolve the plastic itself!), you will never completely remove the odor of what was in there before.

However, the previous remnants will be so minimal, it won’t matter very much. Your nose, in this case, will be giving you a false indicator of strength.

Yeah I intend to just use them to test mixes, and to test them out on other people so they do not read the label and get any ideas. These would be great for giving gifts. I was thinking that if I swapped between Akuto and Neroli scents that the leftover smell shouldn’t be all that bad.. as long as the pheremones are washed away.

After you wash it out with the simplest of solvents or a good soap & water mixture, the leftover scent will be completely overwhelmed by the new scent.

The only reason the leftover scent smells so strong before refilling, is because our noses are a lot more sensitive than we think. We can smell a few single, errant molecules. Canines smell far better, but we’re still incredible smelling machines in our own right.

Each one of our 40 trillion+ cells can “smell”, in a sense. Chemosenses (meaning “chemical senses”, i.e. taste + smell) allowed our cells to bootstrap themselves into our present form. Taste + smell are essential parts of our very existence, down to each and every one of our cells.
