80-90% Game, 10-20% Pheromones

Pfft!

Show me one woman who does NOT do that when wanting to get the pheromones RIGHT to the guy’s brain - fast and effectively - especially EW or Cleo.

Saying, “Do you like my new perfume?” Then letting him inhale at his leisure, NEVER FAILS.

Probably the oldest trick in our arsenal…

Ail

Well, haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but I should soon. I’m going to be finished with this semester soon, and then I’ll have time to do things that are much less idiotic with my time. But this ammunition versus TUTH on the wrists cologne game sounds like a lot of fun!

Rbt, I HIGHLY suggest checking out some materials From John Alexander (who focuses on being yourself, and making a much better version of yourself) and Mike Pilinski, who are REAL writers. As much as I think David Deangelo is a funny guy, his approach is more like being a “Jerk” than being an Alpha Male (leader). I HAVE read most of David Deangelo’s material and embraced it, but he puts WAY too much emphasis on Cocky and Funny. After I started looking in a new direction (Those two books plus “How to meet and connect with women” by Wayne “Juggler” Elise) not only my success with women, but my overall social skills, and even Confidence and Happiness, improved dramatically.

By the way, most of the guys I know who are REAL successful with women use more self-deprecating humor and less others-deprecating humor (ie. Cocky and Funny.) And i’ve also noticed that the other guys i know who are sucessful with women fit more into the John A, Mike P, Juggler methods. Im not saying totally ditch the Deangelo method because it definatly has some substance, im saying check out these other materials.

I’m just checking out what I can when I can and as I can afford it. Just don’t have the wherewithall to get everything and I haven’t worked my way to Alexander yet.

I was given a bunch of material to review a while back by someone and am slowly working my way through it (too much working, not enough play time). I did buy DeAngelos Cocky Comedy DVD recently to check out and notice he is anti self-depricating. I personally find a mix of humor works best, expecially if you also make sure to match it to the situation/audience.

Deangelo included a bonus book in his early DYD eBook (I only have the earlier version of the DYD manual from him) that listed “8 Successful Personality Types,” and one can see that he only concentrates on two of those 8 (and ignored the rest, AND the ones he considers “unsuccessful.”) Of course the ones he chose are the most “marketable” and “positive.” Or in other words, the ones easiest to sell…

Much of his stuff is “been there done/know that” for me anyway. My interest is partially due to my being into social/personal psychology (college major) and seeing what’s being said. I notice much of the “dating success” materials could just as easily be “selling success” materials too.

I may have an Alexander eBook in the pile, but I have “too many irons in the fire” as some say. Will have to look. I’ve barely gotten into the Mystery Method book as yet.

I have some ideas for forum threads. Keep an eye out for them (if I get a chance).

Too many toys, so little time.:frowning:

Wellll… if you want some real training

I think Jon Altfeld MAY be offering his Holographic Communication course in Orlando sometime in February… some well know Mystery Methodeers have taken that… it isn’t a PUA course, better described as an on-camera self presentation course with a ton of personal feedback + corrective information… heck, five days of NLP/Communications coaching may straighten you out more than five years of groping around in the dark trying to debug your style… ever seen yourself doing anything like “running game” on camera ? Any idea how others perceive you ? What little body tics you need to work on ? Like you watch great actors… they know exactly what to move and what to hold still… if they’re not using their body for an expressive purpose, they hold it very still and quiet, no bobbing and weaving, no pawing the ground with their feet, no distacting facial actions… very pure, very present, very focused… you NEED premium quality coaching on physical presentation if you want premium quality social results. You can find Altfeld by looking for the Mastery Insight Institute … he’s doing a thing in the UK in May too…

“Too little work, not enough play”…thats EXACTLY how I felt while working through De’Angelo’s materials. Also, “i heard” Limewire is a great source to get a few e-books  as these things can get pretty expensive, or PM me and I’ll see what I can do about getting you a copy.

Going back to the term “game”, I think it’s a frequently misinterpreted word, and brings about idea of guys “playing games with” women to get them into bed.

However I believe I’m right in saying the term, as originally used by Neil Strauss, refers to a concept either him or one of his peers (I can’t remember who now) at the time devised to help guys improve their social skills.

The idea was for men who go out to socialise with women to think of it as a game, whereby if they are rejected (which can happen all too frequently, especially to “nice guys”) the guy should interpret the rejection as akin to losing a game of chess or a computer game. No harm done, just play again and see if you win the next time. Without this mental crutch, it’s easy for guys to let rejection go to their head, kill their confidence, and make it even harder to get to know women.

There are also other parallels with games, in that the more you practice, the better results you get. The more a guy socialises with women, the better he will understand women, and the greater rapport and connection he will be able to make with women, and the more likely he’ll be to win his Miss Right when he finally finds her. Not through “playing her”, but by being the socially savvy guy she wants.

The problem of course is that the term trivialises the process of getting to know members of the opposite sex, as if it’s something you do to increase a score, or to do purely for entertainment. But I’m certain that wasn’t the original intent of the choice of the term.

Spoons

Nice analysis of an interesting night. Style, the “look”, smell, speech, eye contact, body language and emotional connection all pulling her closer to you. Anyway. I agree with the analogy of becoming good at attracting certain types of girls.

If you think about it there are only a few “archetypes” of males that tend to stand out. (Athlete, stylish rich guy, movie star, bartender, rockstar, biker/adventurous dude) I have been experiencing more success with pheromones with the GQ/rockstar look although I don’t have the 80% game 20% rule down yet. Still need further testing. A good cologne from before I got into pheromones, thinking about it now, dictated about 5% of the my game.

By game, I mean, the process of developing sexual relationships with the opposite sex. It isn’t more, and it isn’t less. It is just a concept that we use to describe one of our ultimate goals in life: to reproduce. Some people go about it as if they were in a comedy movie, others are more dramatic, and even others are borderline insane/sadistic. But once you land a solid girlfriend (or 2-3, depending on your school of thought), I think term “game” no longer applies. It is a lot harder to maintain a fruitful relationship whereby both parties benefit from this interaction than it is to meet new people. Also, there is a lot more to lose.

So I am curious: did you end up doing anything with this gal? What is the phero community’s take of stealing other people’s girlfriends?

The girl I met at the party I was referring to, I could have done something with, but I chose to leave it alone since she was dating a friend of a friend. I’m not big on interfering in relationships in progress, although I certainly consider it fair game if she chooses me over someone else. The woman can choose for herself whom she is interested in, and if she chooses me, or whoever, that’s her choice. Doesn’t mean I choose her too.

Probably the main reason I didn’t end up with the girl was because she was too young for my tastes emotionally. That, and she’s a smoker. Had her “boyfriend” not been a jackass to me, I’d have been more interested in the “honor among gentlemen” thing.

To me, the term “game” refers to social interaction. It’s basically flirting. Flirting is a fun way to “play” with a woman. It doesn’t have to mean anything. I still flirt with my current girlfriend, and I’d be very disappointed if she didn’t flirt back. That’s one of the reasons I left my last girlfriend… she thought she “had me”, so why bother putting in the “effort” of flirting?

Wrong. I am worth the effort.

Anyway, that’s my 2c.

Totally, I probably would have done the same thing in your position.

I think keeping and growing a relationship is a lot harder than gaming a girl but it can also be more rewarding.

The term Game is definitely getting over used, at least out here. I’m out a lot more than I used to be and if you’re good at flirting you tend to get it called out pretty quickly.

At that point I usually offer my services as a “flirt coach” and suggest that she take a free lesson… with the understanding that future interactions of this kind will cost her.
