Just got my latest bottle of rev23 and I’ve always noticed that there was a slight…mmm..“nutty” note to A314 that I found quite pleasant but this time, I’ve noticed that it’s quite a bit more sharp than what I’ve had in the past. It almost doesn’t have the same smoothness in the scent as previous batches that I’ve had. Anyone else notice this?
Every batch of A314 can have very slight differences in the scent package, since its so intricate and there are so many natural ingredients (other than Akuto, the cover fragrance).
They added the essence of John Sebastian, hence the scent change.
Well, that would explain the sharper notes I’m detecting. 
@John: Yes I figured as much however this is my third bottle, the first two plus my A314a spray all smell roughly the same. This bottle has a very sharp change in scent, the change is so pronounced that it’s almost overpowering the rest of the scent. A sharp/bitter/chemical smell to it which I have never noticed before. It’s rev23 batch 17 bottled on 5/19/11.
Hey! That only happened once and it was an accident I swear! It’s called A314 Rev 69 Damn Fine!
Weird. If you think something is wrong you can exchange it for another bottle. It’s not the whole batch, or it’d be consistent. Did you make sure to shake it real good? What’s your environment and climate like?

Its not wrong in any way but it does smell different. (a little)
its more sharp (musky) scent and than normal.
Well, it was batched last week I think so I’m going to let it sit for a few days or so, check and see if I notice any change. If not, I might exchange it. But yea, it’s very odd. After quitting smoking, my sense of smell has skyrocketed (can smell someone smoking two cars ahead on the road) and the sharp note, it’s enough that it’s somewhat killing my self effects. With my previous bottles, I could just open the cap and sniff all day, the self effects would hit so hard 
I can definitely detect a chemical like scent to it. I want to say almost alcohol but that wouldn’t be in it, would it? I have worn it a few times this week and haven’t noticed anyone say anything about it and the sharpness does die down after a while. Maybe I just have an overly sensitive nose? shrugs I’ll check with my sister tonight, see what she thinks (another sensitive nose).
Currently the environment here keeps changing on a day to day basis. Yesterday it was upper 50’s and raining, today it’s supposed to be partly sunny and near 70, monday it’s supposed to be sunny and 91 and then Tuesday back to cloudy, rain, and low 70’s so the humidity and temps are all over the frakking place right now. And yea, I shook it, usually do just in case.

Yesterday i got asked twice whats that musky smell. what kind of cologne i was using.
And one the my closest friends(female) told me that i do not smell like my self
but still its not unpleasant.. just too strong
Well, I have a bottle from that batch on its way. It should be here Monday.

its nothing.. special.. but if you compared it to a bottle batched 5 mounts ago - you can smell the difference.
Its not a big deal and i even like it better. i think it might be missing that nutty note. or the musk is too strong and covers that note.

smells a bit burnt… but results are just the same
A burnt smell? Weird.
I’m going to avoid this thread to keep neutral until I’ve smelled the sample they are sending me. I’ll have it on Monday and get back to you guys.
EDIT: I’ll have it on TUESDAY. My bad. Forgot about no Fedex on Memorial Day and not close enough to shipping this week to grab it myself.

I just got back from my mailbox. Giving it a thorough examination right now.
The scent package is a little light, but not unusable. What seems to be coming through more than usual is the actual smell of some of the pheromone content and the oil base itself seems a little liquidy but nothing that I would say hinders its awesomeness.
We keep logs of the pheromone contents and everything is well-documented.
All is a-okay as far as I can tell.
But glad I gave it a smell anyway. 
I’ll pass all of the feedback along with my own impressions to the formulators.
I wore it last night and maybe the scent package could’ve used more Akuto? I can smell the other oils, but the Akuto could be stronger.
If you guys are placing another order and have a batch from this - phone your order in. I’ll have them throw it in a free to-go of Akuto lightly-fragranced or cologne strength (up to you) in alcohol for you to spray along with it if you feel its not to your liking.

Please only do this if you want the Akuto and please only do this if you aren’t using that bottle for research.

so thanx for the offer. i will pass for now.
Maybe i will need 1 bottle.. but i will call AD when i am ready to make my next order.

An update for you John,
I let my bottle sit for a few weeks and while the sharp notes are still there, they’re not as strong as they were before and it dissipates quicker so I’m smelling more of the original a314 scent than I did before. So you were right in that I should have let it settle for a while.
