D4 pointed out that the new batches of A314 included the Akuto scent. I was curious to know which scent I was wearing as this was my first bottle of A314. Either way, my bottle is V.17, batch 4.
Let’s get some reponses with your A314 batch number, version number, if it is your first bottle, how long ago you ordered it, and if you have experience with different scented A314s, could you post your observations and compare them?
I got Batch 6, Version 17 and at the bottom of the label it says Akuto so I’m assuming if yours dosn’t say that it isn’t the Akuto scented one… I could be very wrong cuz as you see I’m new myself…but its my guess…
Mine is V.17 / B. 5, and does say Akuto. My last bottle was purchased late last year and had no sticker. It was the standard EO. I wonder if the other scents, like Ammo and Game could be blended into A314 as well. That would be interesting.
So, D4, I guess you’re the only person so far that can say they’ve tried both the EO version and the Akuto version. Any difference in diffusion, hits, duration?
I’d say the diffusion and duration is probably better with the Akuto. I can smell it for a much longer period than the EO, and it’s safe to assume there are pheromones attached to the molecules carrying the scent. As for hits, I don’t really notice outright hits with A314. I regularly use 3 drops as a foundation for my work mix, and I’ve pretty much built up and am maintaining a position of respect among my peers and higher-ups. People sort of look to me for guidance and new people always seek me out for help if they can’t find the team leader.
Now that I’m starting to get the hang of the smell, I believe I can give Akuto-scented A314 a hearty thumbs up. I’ll be the first to try it in Game, though.
Hmm, that sounds about right. Yea, I wonder what A314 would be like with the Game scent. I kinda think it would clash a bit, but that might be me. I get woozy with all the Game scents floating around sometimes.
Would you say you prefer the smell of the EO or the Akuto?
Well, I’m not sure if it’s because I would get used to it, but it seems like the smell of the EO wasn’t as strong and could be covered without worry of a clash. I’m finding that the Akuto, while quite strong, seems to blend in with my cologne and other pheros without too many problems, however. I still get the occasional positive comments about my smell, and no one has told me I stink (save for this one woman who has a bionic nose, although she just said my smell was strong, not necessarily bad).
Right now, I’m going to say I like them equally, since the negatives of one are addressed by the positives of the other and vice versa. Time and more testing will tell, and I’ll post if my feeling changes.
I have the most recent batch of A314 with the Royal Oil - I was really surprised with everyone saying how bad it smelt because I really found that I didn’t even need to cover with it on (from a personal smell perspective)… I like the smell of it more than IS.
(I still covered because I was concerned that other people might find the smell offensive)
Wrlprchnx, what are the version and batch numbers? Check the sticker on the bottom. We’re trying to keep track of which blend has what fragrance. Thanks! I haven’t heard of the Royal Oil before. Does the smell compare to anything?
All a314 sold now at androtics are akuto, so not need to ask
As for the differences between batches for inko, it might be scent, number of pheromones, small tweaking to be more effective, and just keep track of their products (like volume 5 of a magasine for example)
