An immature guy who is not able to take pride in achievement or receive support from close relationships is bound to rely on consuming for feelings of pride, joy and comfort.
They are simply a new slave caste who work unsatisfying jobs to sponsor fast food chains, car manufacturers, the sex industry, gadgetmakers and breweries.
To some extent milestones used to force men to grow up, yet I feel men who marry mainly because they are under societal pressure don’t make the best husbands and fathers. A lot of married couples in the 60’s were not that happy even if things looked good on the outside.
Who would want to be married to a guy who resented being a husband and an adult? A man is not going to treat you right unless he wants to be your husband with all his heart. Today’s climate actually makes it easier for women to tell the wheat from the chaff. I know a good deal of men who are mature, independent, empathic and worthy of respect simply because they have goals they want to reach and a kind of man they want to be. Such an intrinsic motivation is far more reliable as a predictor of future behaviour than pressure from parents and church.
Women simply need to keep their eyes open and not play wife to a child man, expecting him to grow up when there is no reason to believe he will. Smart women do, dumb women don’t. But then, the latter make it easy for the former.
Im a guy but I honestly think that the world is better off without men even if it will be less advanced but it will be much more peaceful.

Do you have a source for that statistic? Didn’t think so. And I dare say it’s a poorly chosen number which ignores a lot of things. Yes, humans are very aggressive and violent creatures. Yes, the majority of physical violence does come from males. However, I can assure you that women are just as dangerous as men are, and can hold their own in terms of violence. It’s usually a different kind of violence that comes from females, but I have been in relationships that were violent because the female was aggressive and violent. I, on the other hand, know my tendencies and limits well, and prefer to avoid violence whenever possible - verbal, emotional, spiritual or physical.
Men are as aggressive as they are because genetic pressure from nature (hunt things bigger and deadlier than you, and compete for sex) has made them that way. In this way, the modern man is the direct result of the female choice of whom to mate with for God only knows how many generations. That doesn’t mean they can’t use their brains and control the violent tendencies, though.
On the other hand, I think we definitely have too many males… but re-balancing that statement is the fact that women are fighting a (sometimes stealth) war for dominance and control. Power struggle is a genetic thing for us… male or female. By constantly pushing for control she doesn’t necessarily really want, she weeds out the betas from the alphas.
Violence is a genetic trait of humans. Just a question of what kind and how well you are going to control to o be controlled by it.
I would love to see what happened to society if women were in control of war powers, though. I bet you’d see an instant war break out between the Hawks and Doves within the feminine ranks.

Violence is heavily related to testosterone level. Most inmates are males and most females inmates of violent crimes have higher testosterone than average women.

Dept of justice statistics place spousal abuse cases as being 49% women who abuse husbands who don’t defend themselves either from a sense of societal pressures regarding gender roles and chivalry, or simply being smaller and less aggressive than their wives. So while men might technically have a majority in the domestic violence field it’s not such a one sided as terms like “most” and “majority” would imply.
With regard to when abuse becomes homicide. 1996 statistics puts the total number of murders in the US at just under 20 thousand. 813 of those were women murdered by their boyfriends/husbands…475 were men murdered by their girlfriends/wives. A difference of 338 dead bodies and that’s it. What this statistic leaves out is the fact that women tried for homicide against men are more likely to get off than in the reverse case. AND when a woman is found not guilty of killing her boyfriend/husband his death is not counted in the statistics.
Sorry if anyone is annoyed with me for bumping old topics but when I see something interesting I have to comment on it.
