A question about international shipping

I have seen parcels of mine shipped between DHL hubs over the weekend but once they cross the Atlantic, they do sit till Monday Morning before they get shipped out for delivery.

okay, am i right to assume that the parcel travels from hubs to hubs across the globe but delivery only takes place during weekdays?
