BTW, i got exactly 15% higher raise than the maximum possible! Basically I hear I got the best pay raise of all the Staples in North America. My pay raise was exactly 2.87 times higher than the average!!!

Effects to others** --** The goal today was to have a meeting with my supervisor and her boss and discuss my yearly pay raise. Everyone has complained about how small they have been this year. While in the meeting I would like to negotiate my raise to a higher amount. When I entered the room both of them were already seated. I took my seat confidently and gave a big smile. My supervisor’s boss was the one leading the meeting. We started going over my work related stats everything was good. After about 3-5 min her face started turning slightly flushed. She is a redhead and is fair skinned. She was still going over events in the last year but started fidgeting in her seat. That is not a normal action on her part. After we completed my review she was asking questions about how I felt everything was going. She was staring intently in my eyes the whole time. Her pupils were slightly dilated and she had a smirk on her face the whole time. Like someone who knows a secret but isn’t sharing. After the q & a, she told me what my raise was. I already am near the top of the pay scale. I figured that if I got a raise it would be small pitiful amount. However that amount she gave me left no room for negotiation. It was 1.6 times bigger that my last raise. That raise was a good one too. I did not have to negotiate anything it was more than I wanted by 40 cents. My supervisor said I had been doing such an excellent job the past couple months and I really deserved more. At that time I really stopped paying attention to their reactions. I was too busy being excited about the extra money on my pay check!

Now I wonder what the upper boss was thinking about during the meeting. I don’t know but I am sure she remembers me! On the fast track for promotion! LOL

Yeah so it’s done way more than 10 times more than what I paid. I can’t think of a reason not to get it. What’s $70 to change your life? It’s changed mine in so many amazing ways. My life was begining to feel stale and old because I had stopped growing as a person. This turned me back around and gave me that drive and passion again. I am a whole new person.

Love the stuff for work, unfortunately, didn’t do me any good. Arnold just screwed poor kids, old people, schools and state workers, but he did protect big oil’s profits. I just got a 10% pay cut!

Our “glory” from WWII until the late 70’s was based on the damage done elsewhere by the war. The manufacturing capbility of practically every developed country except the US was bombed into oblivion giving the US an unmatched benefit.

And then after we purchase thier shoddy merchandise and go into debt. China purchases our debt back then charges even more inrest on it

Jim, I am so sorry to hear about your unfortunate circumstances. This economy has taken its toll on a lot of good folks, and that rascal Arnold hasn’t made it easy in Cali.
