A314 in my job setting.

First of all I love A314. I use it everyday except for weekends and I love the self effects that it gives me but lately I have been wondering if it has been more of a hindrance in my particular job setting. I can greatly see the benefit in using this product in a business setting because of the assertiveness that you have to portray but I don’t work in that field.

I work with young abused kids and I assist disabled adults. Yes you have to be assertive but too much of that around my clients and I could really make them uncomfortable. I ask because lately the kids I have been working with aren’t as open and comfortable around me as they used to be and I don’t know if it’s me or the mones. They act like they are more intimidated by me and I have been using a lot of social buffers when wearing A314. So what do you guys think?

I don’t know…try IG instead? IG is a toned down A314, you will be much more approachable.

I also work as a counselor, and I agree that A314 can be a little intimidating for some patients. I generally use it anyway, as in spite of the intimidation factor it does seem to increase trust and help me build a better working alliance. It gives me more of that authoritative doctor air.

If you feel like it’s too much for the patients you work with, try buffering it with IH, or even just using IH on its own. IH is great stuff for therapy.

I have tried it with IH and I feel that it helps but they still seem intimidated. Perhaps I should just use 1 drop instead of 2?

Yeah, I would try it out in a number of configurations to see what works best for you - your “sweet spot.” So spend 3-4 days experiencing the effects of each of the following configurations:

  • 1x A314
  • 1x A314 + 1x IH
  • 1x A314 + 2x IH
  • 1x A314 + 3x IH
  • 2x A314
  • 2x A314 + 1x IH
  • 2x A314 + 2x IH
  • 2x A314 + 3x IH
  • 1x IH
  • 2x IH
  • 3x IH

By the end you’ll have a really good sense for what each of the products does, and how you might be able to use them in your practice. If you want to lighten things up a bit to promote easier interaction, you might also try IO and/or Instant Shine.

dbot has some really good advice on how to buffer down the intimidation factor from A314. However, I notice that you are 21 from your profile? I would highly recommend IG then, since your job scope requires you to BOND with your clients.
When you wear IG, people bond with you. That’s because you give out this dependable, friendly vibe and people naturally form BOND with people that are dependable. Your clients will feel comfortable around you and will open up to you more.

Thanks for the advice. Yes I am 21. Today I actually used 1 drop of A314 with 2 sprays of 4X IH and 2 sprays of 4X IS and the kids were great around me. Even the little ones who are usually shy.

I would use IG but the self effects aren’t as great and I like the convenience of the longer lasting A314 so I don’t have to reapply later in the day.
