Just a bit of back ground before the story. I have belonged to the same large HMO Dental program for over 14 years. They provide the basics at very little charge, things like fillings, cleaning, etc. When it comes to anything cosmetic it becomes very expensive.
I have had a number of annoying issues for the past 5 years, a discolored front tooth, some enamel wearing away on some of my rear teeth and a new chip in one of my canine teeth. My HMO has never been willing to fix any of these items for less than $2000.
So at my annual check up I am wearing 2 drops of A314 and 2 sprays of Instant Honesty. The Doc. comes in after the hygienist is finished and starts looking at the mouth then after about 30 seconds sits back and asks if I am having any issues…I briefly talk about the loss of enamel on some of my back teeth and explain further that I know it my fault for brushing to hard.
“Anything else” he asks…I say no, knowing that any more is purely cosmetic. “How about that discolored tooth in the front and the chipped one as well, doesn’t that bug you?” I answer of course but I’m not willing to part with the 2 grand you will charge to have it fixed.
Well I am blown away when he ponders for a moment than proceeds to tell me that he can find medical reasons to fix both…the chip could get bigger and the discolored tooth could break down if it isn’t capped and further more while he very rarely ever fixes enamel on molars he will fix mine.
I don’t know this guy from Adam but he just saved me over $2000 bucks. I have asked about these things every time I have gone in for the last 4+ years but was always turned down…out of the blue this guy offers it too me.
Guys this stuff works…I have had too many things in the last 2 months that have never happened so blatantly before to me.
