…[Debra’s parents] contacted the GRACE Foundation, which recommended that Debra would benefit from their social skills program.
…Today, Debra attends willingly. She has made friends and is able to go into the community on play dates. She visits the playground, carnivals and family gatherings. She joined GRACE’s recreation program and participates in all of the activities. She has friends! Debra seems to be much happier now, and so is her family.
Debra’s younger brother was also diagnosed with [an Autism Spectrum Disorder], and has joined GRACE. He’s more outgoing and social, but has other issues requiring GRACE’s social skills, recreation and respite services, which have been very beneficial to him. His behavior problems have decreased, and he is also making friends…
