I was initially sceptical about using pheromones but after doing some reading of various testimonials and such I have decided to bite the bullet and give them a go as I don’t know what else to try.
I am initially a very shy person and I find it very hard to talk to new people, especially girls.

I think that you made a pretty good choice with Instant Openness. As Xiphoid mentioned, I would also consider Instant Shine especially if you are shy and in need of a little confidence boost to approach girls. Together, they would make an awesome combination.
You seem abit more interested in the self effects of these pheremones, so make sure you apply somewhere close to your sniffer ! (i.e. Neck, upper chest area)
IO would be great to increase social interaction and attraction. You may want to check out either Ishine or AMMO with it. Both will up confidence but AMMO is more sexy and Ishine is more warm and charismatic.
