It seems that the new Androtics.com web shop is the new shop? And it seems legit, right? Nice!
So, I need Ammo and A314. I can buy A314 from the new shop, but there are several different versions. What are the differences? Do you have any conclusions which version works best?
Where can I buy Ammo? Or a good replacement? I can not find it at androtics.com? Is Hunted the new Ammo?
From the threads in the Store Forum about all the changes, it seems that Ammo has been licensed-off to another (so far undisclosed) company altogether - So the ball is entirely in their court and if they do release it, you probably won’t be seeing it on Androtics.com.
The nearest alternative product that I’ve used is Alter Ego, which has the same basic components but in different proportions, probably due to its being an oil. Its scent is close to Neroli and to get best results, I do find it needs to be used straight on the skin, not on clothing as the label suggests.
Hunted appears to be something different/more complex altogether, although it seems to fit a similar all-rounder niche. I’ve not tried it yet, so can’t give you a better answer.
Its the nearest thing I can suggest, phero-wise. FTM, its what I’m using as I only have a smallish amount of the real thing left but I had good results from AE long before I discovered Ammo.
There are however a range of good and more modern products that fit the same niche but you would be better discussing them on one of the other phero boards. I’ve tried a few but find they either differ in significant ways or don’t combine with other products quite as well - maybe due to the more complex formulas? This could be good or bad though, depending on your outlook and how you want to use pheros.
Personal favourites were the A314 UFE or SBE special editions that got limited circulation a few years back. And professionally/fallout-wise, Revs 23 and 17(I think) were hard to beat. 17 is long gone but I still have a stash of 23 for “strategic” use.
Putting the current Rev32 into Stealth was also a good thing - I find it much improved on the iterations that immediately preceded it but its the only one of the current versions I’m using.
I see they have increased the price on the new A314. Perhaps the price increase has something to do with the hard to acquire ingredients added to it? If it’s going to be as good (or perhaps even better) than my vintage A314 version 18 batch 2, I’m all for it.
I doubt we’ll see the likes of Rev18 again - I think I still have one bottle stashed.
Once I cottoned-on to the potential for variance between Revs, got into the habit of keeping one bottle back each time they rolled-out a new Rev, just in case.
I’m glad I did now as it will take me a few years to work through that lot!
But IMO, the current Stealth Rev32, is the best implementation of A314 I’ve used for several years, esp after the diffusion issues they had - Much more impact and gravitas compared to the last few scented batches. Not tried Dark water though - but at that price, its akin a special purchace/special edition for me - not something for baseline daily use. And I need the low scent properties of standard/stealth A314 for work, not a more scented version, however lovely.
