I have a friend that let me smell the scent of his AMMO (to-go) he ordered about exactly 1 year ago. The smell was somewhat offensive and not pleasant. A lot of people agreed to this. But I just received my order of AMMO (to-go) yesterday, and wow, the scent is nice! If I’m not mistaken, I believe the scent is game?? Oh yes by the way, when my friend ordered his AMMO, it was before Androtics let you choose Chocolate, Game, Akuto, etc. So my question is, did Androtics changed AMMO’s scent from what it was a year ago? Both is version 1.0 .
Yes, there was a scent change. I do not understand the version #, though. The version was supposed to change when the scent changed. I’ll give someone a stern talking to about this.
I’m glad you like the newer scent. Unfortunately, it seems you may be a rare boat. Most folks here seem to like the older one. Tough issue, heh!
There’s about to be another scent change for Ammo, actually. We’re doing our best to match the Ammo concept to a good scent that’s as attractive as possible, as inoffensive as possible (which generally means “clean” smelling), while also being good for pheromonal diffusion. It’s a tough to balance these three points, but we do have some nice new candidates.
I’m working on a new grammar for scent testing. You’ll see the new scent tests soon.
I’ll likely give away a bunch of scent testers out for free to people who report here, since, while “expensive” in a sense, most of these molecules don’t cost much of anything when compared to what we spend on pheromone development. Coty might fuss over the cost of what goes into Jessica Parker’s “Lovely”, but we certainly don’t. The only cost hangup we have involves the quantity some of these fragrance companies make you buy (who needs quarter or half a Shell Fuel sized tanker of something experimental??), but that’s about it.
Oh, and if you ever get something you feel is “disgusting” from us, feel free to send it back and get something else. We have a lot of other things to offer, things you’ll probably like. We never want people to be unhappy, and we actually do like receiving your feedback.
It’s only with good feedback that we know what to do when making new versions, so don’t ever think you’re hurting our feelings or anything. Just be nice and constructive (deliver a suggestion with each negative) with your comments, that’s all we ask. We want to make things better.
I view this like software development. I listen carefully to what people like and don’t, and I see what I can do.
This is differs from software development in a sense, though, because it does require a bit of new research and sometimes even innovations to fulfill some requests. What might seem easy to you is sometimes difficult on a technical basis. Certain innovations might take years to achieve.
Still, I like challenges. I try as best as I can!

I have a V1.0 to-go of Ammo, (received as a free gift about three weeks ago, Thanks!), and Catlord’s PS pack, two of which I believe are Game scented. Not having ever smelled the older version I can’t comment on it, but I do like the current Game scent.
I for one would like the original Ammo back–the one that smells like Nautica Completion. I stopped using Ammo because the new scent–game–makes me feel like hurling. Sad because I really liked Ammo. I realize AD had their reasons for changing the scent, but it would be nice if the original scent could be available as a scent option. I’d even pay a little extra…
I have to say I am of that majority. I got my first Ammo about a year ago as a tester and LOVED the smell of it and then ordered a full bottle.
Just recently I am getting back to trying Pheros again and didn’t know that the scent changed and I put on my ammo the first day and applied and thought…Huh? This isn’t right. However, I thought I could be wrong so I found my old bottle and smelled…Nope I was right totally different and ughhh. I had so many compliments on the way I smelled when I wore it and now I have to cover it up..
Been wearing it in the evenings and covering with Tsar..Which makes it inherintly more expensive to wear..Very frusterated.. But at least now I know that it changed.. I guess that is the cost of not keeping up on the board. ANNNNDDD its not my choice about the scents. I am unhappy and I must say that I did like the effects but it was the effects coupled with the smell that really really did it for me.
I suppose that if I can get a new bottle of Ammo that has a great smell something similar I would feel “complete” again…Sorry as a Representive in a Labor organization we use the term-“complete” to refer to someone who is back to happy land…
Sorry for thread jumping and ranting but I do have an update and report since I just started back into pheros Friday night and I had some great IOI’s but thats another thread..

As I replied elsewhere on another thread where you had this topic, I urge you not to change Ammo scent radically . I am going on 50, and I have had hits with 20-something ladies as well as 50-something ladies on Ammo, it works like a charm .

Yes i am a huge fan of old-scented AMMO. As the previous poster suggested, the appeal of the old version of Ammo was the scent as well as the affects. Nautica Voyage as well as Competition smell the same…plus several mx’s like mx211 still have the old scent. Most of my Ammo hits come from old-scented Ammo and am thoroughly bored with the Game scent.
I believe the scent of the newer versions of AD A314 r Akuto [not meant to be as potent or overbearing in oil format]. LS A314 would have the yummy “hippy” essential oil style scent that older versions of AD A314 had…very very nice
actually just put some old-ammo scented mx211 on now…very very yummy, but dont think its exactly the same scent as old-scented Ammo, abit fresher perhaps? not getting the “spicyness” of original ammo scent.
Fans of Pheromone Proof would also appreciate old-scented Ammo. Where art thou PP? will u grace us with your presence?
