Apparently, I made perfect choices.

I’ve started shopping for a cover scent, as IFM bothers me enough to be noticable. TUTH is earthy enough (espcially if I’ve been a bit active) that I don’t mind it at all – to me the A314 is calming and soothing – and mixes fine with the Heat. But IFM makes me self-conscious, even though it seems to provide results.

In the work environment, I have found myself stopped serveral times for extended conversations by casual aquaintences. I ran into two women from work at the Mall who literally stepping in front of me to keep me from just nodding hello on the way past. I was wearing two shots of IFM and two of TUTH on my way to see a hired gun that’s been on my radar. I don’t attribute what I was wearing to being stopped – I’ve been wearing product with A1 for well over a week there and the changes have been noticeable. And with the exception of an aggressive spike that I felt that didn’t immediate trace back to the 'nones, it’s been all good.

I attribute this pair of women being more animated than normal, making extended eye contact, light kino and delaying tactics to the products I was wearing, tho. One of them is pregnant – and not to put too find a point on it, I can sum up a part of the experience with a quote from Wedding Crashers: ‘Don’t spend time on girls in hats, they tend to be proper.’ Yeah? Well, the proper girl in the hat just eye-fucked the shit out of me.

Moving on to my appointment. This target had already been progressing nicely, but wasn’t ‘personal.’ As a casual aquaintence that I don’t see regularly – someone not already attuned to my natural signature, the real question was, would there be a change now that I was using 'nones?

Decidedly yes. Absolutely yes. Oh my God, yes.

She’s a little slip of a women, all of 5-5 and 100 pounds (but it seems as though she’s carrying a disproportionate amount in her bra.) Thin, but strong – we discuss workout schedules and BMI and the like typically.

The shampoo felt different this time. Having someone else wash your hair is always a good thing – but she seemed to linger during the process. There was less urgency. I told myself it wasn’t that busy and she probably simply knew that she didn’t have another appointment stacked up behind me.

Then she offered me a ‘favor.’ I’m not a bear – but I do tend to go cro magnon from time to time – and she thought it would help my look if she just gave me a quick wax job – ‘on me.’ Gentleman, if you ever find yourself in this position, accept, if only to use this now field-tested line which worked like a charm – “Oh sure, just like every other woman in my life, you’re going to hurt me.” Giggles – no, I promise. Segue directly into a discussion of 40 year old Virgin and you’re in solid.

I won’t bore you with all the details, but suffice it say it was a relaxing visit with a new friend – and I credit TUTH with keeping just enough tension in the air so that I won’t get stuck in the friend mode; i.e. when talk turned back to weight management (she’s small and trying to add muscle), I reminded her not to get stuck in the false benchmark of weight – because after all it’s how you feel and how your clothes fit that matters – and whether or not people notice that your clothes fit. Lets just say, this girls clothes fit – but will look much better in a heap on the floor.

Today I spent the entire day lifting furniture and climbing up and down stairs. A friend will help you move. Your best friend will help you move a body. This was just stuff – a pal moved into a new place and I wasn’t sure how much help he was going to have. I’m glad I went. His family was there in waves – but many were older, and you just don’t want Grandpa on the other end of the dresser on a steep flight of steps.

Knowing it would be a mixed group, I used two drops on A314 and nothing else today. And the results, I have to say, were as advertised. Remember now – I’m not family, but people were asking MY advice on what to do next. I don’t mind making decisions, but somewhere in the back of my mind I kept thinking, ‘gee, I don’t know – he’s your cousin/nephew/son - what do YOU think he’d want?’

Two young women were a part of the mix. One girlfriend of a friend (HB 7.5) – who gave me the same reaction the proper lady in the hat gave Vince Vaughn. It started slowly – and I found her circling me – staying close – waiting for me to move and then tagging along. It went on like this most of the day. Her boyfriend challenged me early on, in a marking your territory kind of way – nothing overt, but it was there – but then I felt him soften. I think he sensed something, but didn’t get aggressive or defensive. I’ll credit that to my easy-going nature and natural charm. It’s a good thing I’m not conceited or that would go to my head. LOL

The other was a few years older, still young and easily a HB 8 – 8.5 who knows it. I got the oddest vibe from her when she arrived – as though she felt threatened or something. I thought perhaps she was just shy – but it continued for awhile. When we all took a break (I had run to the store to get everyone water and some fresh fruits and veggies) she found herself in my proximity and then returned, again and again. After that, she was my new best friend. Lots of eye contact, smiles, and more.

Question: is this the natural byproduct of time? Residual A314 signaturre? Natural 'nones from working up an honest sweat helping a pal? Being the new favorite person of grandpa (who held onto my hand after the truck was empty for, I kid you not, a solid minute. Think about the last time you shook someone’s hand – 2 to 3 seconds, right? I think he liked me. Was that the change in the HB?

I have two final questions (as if anyone has gotten this far … !) What does "formula F stand for on the travel sized (free) bottle I got with my order – I don’t know what it is!)

And what’s been the best cover scent men have found – that’s popular with the ladies? I’m leaning towards “Proof” from A&F – ladies, feel free to answer this question as well. What, besides a nice mix of 'nones – gets your motor running?

I have noticed younger women–college age to late 20s–compliment me more when I wear fresh citrus scents, e.g., Burberry Weekend, Issey Miyake Summer, Bulgari Aqua or D&G Masculine. When I wear “old man” scents like CD Fahrenheit I get zero remarks. Older women often like the traditional musky or spicey colognes (younger women may think of these as fatherly). Of the fresh citrus scents, Weekend is the only one I’ve tried that’s strong enough to cover strong androstenone or androsterone products. A-1 is a walk in the park–anything will cover it.

What do you wear in your work environment?

I’m assuming that the Instant Female Magic/Turn Up the Heat combination was strictly for your appointment and not work related?

I’d say yes, being mellowed by your own sweat (and maybe the Anone in it).

I’ve seen best A314 results after a couple of hours for the same reason, especially at the 2 drops (high) doses. In the first hour or two it is a bit strong.

Did you know that a formidable mix is A314 + mild anone ? .. you already gave a good description above for that.

It’s curious, but not surprising G – I did a field experiment with my two choices from Abercrombie and Fitch –and it was the late 30 HB 8 that chose Proof over No. 8. I’m going back to the mall and doing some more ‘field research’ on this before I decide.

So what would be the best 'none signature for conducting independent mall walk interviews? Everyone says Shine, but I had mixed results the one day I used the travel sized free sample they so generously shipped. And any clue as to what “F” is – what it does? Do I need to call Jasmine?

Lately I’ve been wearing a non-Androtics product, and have only started doing some testing lately now that my shipment has arrived. The encounter with the co-workers was after the office was closed – and I had only applied TUTH after hours on my way to the mall. However, the one that I’ve been wearing at the office, is Pheroline, which from my limited study of pheromones, suggests it may give a similar signature.

As I mentioned earlier, there was a question through FedEx until we bumped it to a two day – and the computer glitch was cleared up. I got a free sample of Shine and something labeled F (molecule F, Formula F - I don’t have it with me…) Next week, I’ll experiment with A314 and Shine in the office environment – and leave the stronger stuff for after hours.

It would explain the chest-puffing behavior of the boyfriend – and then how it seemed to mellow as the day progressed. There’s nothing like struggling with a oversized mattress down a flight of stairs to help two guys bond. I can’t shoot pool to save my life, but the intricate geometry of getting a dresser through a doorway is easy for me. Go figure.

Thanks for the tip, Mak – I’ll try the mix at the mall. I’ve got the best hunting ground in America for day sarging blocks from my office – I think it’s time to call in an order for Ammo.

Another day spent noting human behavior (including my own) has proven to be largely inconsequential. I attribute today’s results to various factors – not the least of which is the lack of sleep I got last night.

I had a quick errand to run over lunch, and decided to test a mild ‘heat’ signature as I made my rounds. I’ve fallen in the habit of popping in my earbuds and largely ignoring the poll takers and screaming babies whenever possible – and find that direct eye contact and a deliberate disengagement of the music is a great way to say hello – even if it’s a casual ‘hey there’ in passing – the act of ‘opening’ yourself up for conversation has good results.

Today was much the same – I was off in search of a cover scent at the big mall and went with the suggestion for a lighter, youth-friendly cologne – Mark Jacobs – which was an excellent suggestion. It’s not too light, definitely unique and seems to mix well.

For this field exercise, I chose two shots of Instant Female Magic for the back of the neck – and a good solid spray of Turn Up The Heat to the chest. Yes, it’s the middle of the day here – yes it might send strong signals – yes, I was prepared to take the afternoon off if need be. Alas, I’m here writing this for you instead.

The President’s Day holiday had a larger than normal crowd out during the lunch hour and a disproportionate number of young women. I wasn’t actively ‘sarging’ the mall – I just wanted to see if I noticed anything out of the ordinary. I’ll say yes – but if you’ve read anything I’ve written here – you’ll know I do still have a good healthy skeptical streak going. I tend to agree with Stevo that you’ll find results if you want to – and with ksage that you won’t if you don’t. Nothing really unusual here – one’s glass is half full, making him more fun to hang with – the other is staring at the floor, wondering why he spilled.

I think that the pheros are having as much effect on me as they are with those around me. I also understand that effect on me will diffuse and not be as nioticable as my head gets used to the phero-cloud I’m traveling in these days.

Anyway – back to the results. Once again, I hated the smell of Instant Female Magic. A big part of the reason for the shopping over the lunch hour, I guess. I don’t mind Turn Up The Heat at all, most likely because it’s not that dissimilar to the way I smell to myself after wearing the same t-shirt for three straight days on a camping trip. Kind of funky, but familiar is the best way I can think to describe it.

I had to visit two different stores – I was certain that Macy’s would have it, but they only carry the women’s fragrance. Nordstrom’s is on the opposite side of the mall and I had to traverse a ‘target rich’ environment. Wearing an i-Pod and setting a brisk pace is not the best way to test out pheromones, but they seemed to make a difference.

On at least four separate occasions, pairs or groups of women who I had either passed in the concourse, or been in front of while walking, stayed ‘exceedingly close’ on the escalators. It’s been my experience, especially with younger girls, that they’ll tend to slow and create distance in this situation – but no so today. Nobody in front of me caused me to slow down – and they were on the step directly behind me each time. Tired and on a mission, I didn’t do anything except make a mental note each time, and turn for a casual nod and smile twice. Both times I checked – there was nobody behind them that might have caused them to feel pressured to ‘keep moving’ as they got on the moving staircase.

In one location, both men’s and ladies fragrances are grouped together – in the other, they’re at opposite ends of the store. Meandering through ladies fragrances at the later, it wasn’t surprising to be approached by the HB8.5 working – but what was unusual (at least for me) was the extended eye contact and arm/elbow grab as she turned me and directed me towards the right section. Typically, I’ll get the vague pointing, or polite, forced smile and 'no, sir - it’s in the MEN’S department. Not today. Today was hands-on, inviting smile and giggles to my observation that the store layout would require me to walk past every single item from sale – like many places – there is no more right angles and opportunity to go directly from one place to another anymore.

The sale was uneventful – lots of eye contact and smiles, but strictly professional. If I was in her place, I would have smiled at my credit card, too.

If pheromones do nothing other than lift the blinders off my male pattern baldness, sobeit. The split second lifting of the corner of your mouth as you squeeze past me, clutching your boyfriend’s hand is noticed, ladies. The hair toss meant to camouflage the look over your shoulder after you passed becomes transparent – IF you’re looking for it.

…more to come, I’m just sure of it.

dude try marc jacobs for men. Incredible cologne. The only women that I’ve ever met that didn’t like it is my current girlfriend, but when I was single and hanging out with a lot of different girls each and everyone complimented me on it.
ps you can get it cheap on ebay

Yepp, have that Marc Jacobs stuff, too - from ebay as it isn’t sold in any shops here in Germany. It’s a great, unusual scent that will help you to stand out in a crowd. But I wouldn’t wear it every day - it’s more like a special occassions scent for me…
