If I use an empty To-Go sprayer or full size empty bottle to mix my own ratio of 'mones, will there be any problems? For example, mixing equal parts of spray A314 + IH + TUTH… that way I can apply to myself a known working mix from just one sprayer easily or on the go?
I’m also wondering if this kind of blending will work if a store bought (expensive) men’s cologne is thrown in the mix… that way the cover up scent is also applied at the same time, for convenience.
I’ve tried it, and it CAN cause problems.
It seems some pheromones won’t remain stable, but I have not tried them all so you might have luck. I personally probably will not do it again.
Mixing the pheros themselves should give you few problems, however adding a cologne can be more difficult as they can have components that encourage pheros to degrade.
Whilst this is a viable method once you have found a mix that works, personally I wouldn’t mix-up more than a few days worth at a time - to cover a weekend, short trip away etc and never more than a togo’s worth at one time so I don’t end-up with a large and expensive bottle of useless pheros!
One thing you can notice with mixes (and indeed proper MXs) is tht they can darken/discolour a bit over time but IME usabiity is rarely affected - gone-off pheros usually announce their presence with a foul/rancid stink and I’ve not had that from any AD products yet.
Thanks Jdub and mobocaster!
I’ve been experimenting in the last 9 days with this mix thing, and I have to agree with you that it’s not the best idea. The only way to tell if it works is by measuring IOI’s and even being optimistic I have noticed LESSER of IOI’s with my custom mix to-go spray idea. It was kinda convenient, and I could even bypass possible unwanted IOI in the beginning of the day and apply using the sprayer mix later on and try to get a fresher mone scent for the targeted lady, but I don’t think there was much IOI. From this experience, I won’t be mixing again. If anything, I’ll just transfer some mones from the big glass bottle into a clean to-go, by themselves, to apply later… so I’ll just carry several to-go’s instead of a DIY mix one.
