As Radman discussed in his thread, Newbies, please read his thread and this one and take both to heart before jumping into the area of the MX or Putative series. They are fun and interesting areas to start exploring BUT, only once you have developed a firm grasp on how the consumer line products work. Why consumer lines first? Simply because they have been tried and tested and are consistent. Allow me to elaborate on an experience I had today.

Location of testing: Dicks ( I can’t go there without chuckling at the name)
What was tested: A314 rev23 and Ammo x1
How much: two drops A314 at the neck, three sprays of Ammo, two at the chest and one at the front of the neck.
Self effects: none.
So, I needed to get some new work boots, inserts, etc. I walk in and make my way straight for the back of the store where the boots are. I wasn’t really paying attention to anyone in particular. So I finally make my way down to the boots and start turning around, trying to find the brand I usually go for. As I complete my 360 and keep in mind this was done in a few seconds, I see this employee, younger woman, early to mid 20s, average to slightly above average looking, walking down the aisle. Apparently, she was following me down the aisle because she had her eyes locked on me when I spotted her. She didn’t say anything at all until I asked for help. A slight smile and she offered her assistance. Bit of a tough chick because she was exuding a sense of confidence that I haven’t seen in a while, perhaps a bit cheeky. But I decided to run with it and have some fun. So she asks me what I needed and I mentioned I was looking for work boots, lined with either thinsulate or gortex and had a 3/4" heel. She just looks at me with this “are you fucking kidding” look and says “wow, that’s not a narrow selection.” Probably some minor shit testing or she’s just that type but I went with the flow and said “Oh no, not at all. I suppose I should mention I need them in size 13 so maybe that won’t be too narrow either.” I can be rather sarcastic at times. That got a little chuckle out of her. So we find the boots, I asked where the inserts were, she led me to them and after determining that I should be all set, she bid me adieu with a smile. I’m still looking around for a few minutes, in capable of figuring out what to get and I look up and there she is, walking back towards me, eyes locked right on me. So I asked her “what, are you gonna stand there and stare at me or say something? I could use your expertise.” She chuckles and helps me. There’s some playful banter and then I was finished. I didn’t go for a number or anything as she wasn’t my type but I did enjoy the interaction.
Conclusions:
So as I have pointed out, this was a major hit for me. The first one in a while and I didn’t use an mx or a putative, just good old fashioned A314 and Ammo. The stuff works folks, I really suggest you go for the consumer products first.
