Beer Contains Female Hormones
********
****This is serious stuff…Beer contains female hormones! ****
********
****Last month, National University of Lesotho scientists released the ****
****results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of
female hormones in beer. Men should take a concerned look at their beer
consumption. The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops
contain phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women. ****
********
****To test the theory, 100 men drank 8 pints of beer each within a 1
hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects: ****

While I think you’re sort of joking, the phytoestrogens in beer certainly do turn men into women (at least temporarily). We’ve talked a lot about that here, since we talk a lot about that psychological and social affects of EVERYTHING. We take it into account recording pheromonal effects on a drinker, since the TYPE of alcohol someone’s consuming can make a very big difference.
It’s all very true…
When guys get together, REALLY get along and talk like chatty cathy’s they drink what? Beer! Which is basically a loaf of bread fermented into a phytoestrogen soup.
When guys are alone in a dark corner somewhere, less social, more “manly”, they drink what… “hard” spirits! It literally makes them “hard” (compared to the girly beer drinkers, anyway)
Then, of course, there’s the young and the ever socialiable metalheads… they break the mold sometimes, but they have other kinds of other hormones and sometimes just plain weird stuff running through their veins
And just so you know, estrogens really do zone us out. If we take it in “pill” form (for birth control or menopause), it’s zone-out city. Cozy, chatty, and lovely (but useless for day to day activities). Just like what beer does to men.
It’s progesterone, which I don’t think there’s an equivalent of in the plant and beer world, that makes us females “hard”. Overly protective of children, and sometimes, uhhh… a little bitchy.
Amazing! I’m a home-brewer and I can vouch for that. Only female hops are used in the brewing process. Funny thing is, i never noticed that about beer consumption. It does make me more emotional, haha. I even got choked up when a character died in a video game I was playing. #8 is so true.
I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if a study came out showing that different types of alchohol push personalities in different directions
Whiskey is a great example -
American Whiskey is a completely different kind of drunk than Canadian Whiskey - the only real difference between the two - Canadian Whiskey is made mostly with rye grain and bourbon is made mostly with corn.
Getting drunk on rye makes you… well… rye-tarded - it’s an absolutely ridiculous drunk
Bourbon I find tends to make guys quiet… and sometimes even angry
Well somehow I managed to miss this thread its first time around. I haven’t noticed a different type of drunk with a different type of drink, but then again I have my tried and true drinks I go for more often than not. Perhaps some experiements are in order.
Bourbon is Instant Jerk for men, but is like -nol overload for women.
Tequila and sake are like p74 and instant Shine.
Jager, for some unexplainable reason, is like being hit by P83 and Ammo.
Try rye man… it’s basically brewed the same way but it feels nothing like a bourbon drunk
It’s actually alot like Tequila - you do shit that makes you go “wtf was I thinking” the next day - except without any of the anger I sometimes see from Tequila drunks.
I still remember thinking it would be a good idea to climb a 40 foot tree… after which I fell asleep in the branches like 25 feet off the ground… my buddies were not impressed
The only rye I’ve tried is Rip Van Winkle, since its the only rye we carry at the bar I work at, and I enjoyed it. i drank it straight too, and I don’t drink bourbon straight. Hell, after work tonight, I think I’ll have a rye or two.
