Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab scents rock!!

In my search for delicious addicting fragrances, I stumbled upon Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs. After browsing their somewhat complicated website, I ordered some samples. They just arrived yesterday, and I have to say.. WOOOHOOO!!!

So far I have tried Darkness, Snake Oil and Scherazade (sp?). They are deep and sexy and I can’t stop smelling myself.

And I can totally smell these fragrances on a guy, I think I would just bury my nose in his neck and never let go…

Tomorrow I am debating between Morocco, Sin, Jezebel and Blood Kiss, maybe I’ll just close my eyes and grab one…

If you go to this unwieldy website, make sure you have some time and patience, start with Reviews, and kind of work your way through…yummmmm…its worth it believe me…yumyumyum…sweet, spicy, deep, complex…BPAL, where have you been all my life??

Snake oil I often wear and I absolutely love it. I’m not usually a fan of very sweet scents, but this one is just amazing, it’s their masterpiece in my opinion.
If you like snake oil, morocco might be a good choice for you sillykitty, it is similar, but with a lot less spices and in my opinion less exotic, but still good. Some people love it and I like it, but I prefer snake oil.

I have tried many, but the ones I stuck with are Snake Oil, Morocco, Crowley, Ides of March, and Samhain 2008 (one of the best fall scents, but it only comes out once a year), and Nosferatu.

Data, one thing you should know about them is many of them are very sweet, so if you’re not into sweet scents make sure you read the descriptions carefully. There’s many that aren’t but it’s still worth noting. Also they are oils which means they are really strong!

Thanks for introducing us to the site. Just for giggles I just ordered one called ‘Loves Torrents’. Might be able to use it with all my Neroli scented Androtics products. :slight_smile:

Any you would suggest that a guy might like?

Well so far in my still newbie experience with this stuff, Snake Oil and Darkness would smell absolutely delicious on a guy. Shezerade (sp?) also. Those are all that I have tried thus far of my totally scrumptious samples, I want to bathe in this stuff, I shit you not, I want to pour it all over my body but alas I only have little samples so I cannot

Easy there… I can’t recall having seen a picture of you before, yet I’m sitting here imagining you standing there wearing nothing but a glistening layer of Black Phoenix oil all over, a black DSE901 with a blue LED held gingerly between the fingers of one hand, and an impish smile on your face.

I’d better shut down the compy and get to bed before I lose my dignity… more than I have. :smiley:

Today, I’m trying Haunted, but I think I’ll have to retry because I had been messing around with that Pink Sugar/EoW earlier, and forgot I had it on when I put the Haunted on. It does totally help tone down that too-sugary-sweet Pink Sugar smell.

Do you guys really like the smell of Pink Sugar, and if so, why? I wish I liked it more. Maybe I can wear it mixed with other stuff, thats an idea.

My favorite at BPAL was always Dragon’s Milk.

I believe this merchant has been discussed a lot here in the past. A search on BPAL should bring up a lot.

here is my small take on it:

way too sweet for me, I like sweet perfumes, but has to be balanced with something, i think it would work much better on a woman then a man, just my take

it is also very linear…which is fine if you like the smell.

I also noticed that the oil they used is very oily, i know that sounds funny…but usually when I rub in other oils, for example musk ghazelle I dont feel that lingering oil or even when using Alpha7 or A314

Maybe I used too much I am not sure

I finally just today tried that Musc ravageur you sent, and at first it was a bit strong, but now its morphing into something yummy!!

Its only been maybe an hour so far, yum yum yum!!

I have some ‘Fenris Wolf’ and ‘Snake Oil’. This stuff is WAY strong smelling and i’m not quite sure if i even like it on me. Sure they sound manly on the website, but i’m thinking either of these would smell great on a ‘secretly slutty woman at the coffee shop’ kinda girl.

I love artisan perfumes, and I have a couple of BPAL samples. The reason I haven’t become one of those crazy BPAL collectors, is because quite frankly their website is completely overwhelming.

Oy, there is such a thing as too much choice.

OK, I admit I am among the olfactorally ignorant. One of these days (when I grow up) I’m going to get an education. But for now, somebody tell me what is a linear smell?

I think he meant lacking in depth of notes – as in having distinct bass notes, top notes, etc.

I’m not familiar with the BPAL scent he tried, but I do know that with artisan perfumes, the scent often takes time to develop its depth.
