Great Alternatives to the Almighty Pink Sugar?

Love PS, use it all the time. Everyone always tells me I smell so good. not looking to get rid of it, just want some more great ones like it. Suggestions?

Thanks

I love, love, love Montale’s Sweet Oriental Dream. It’s slightly gourmand, to me it smells like sweet honey, and I get tons of compliments when I wear it.

Sweet smells are not my cuppa, but if you like incense/woody smells, there is a new perfume called Boyfriend (Sephora carries it) and it works GREAT with the neroli scented mones.

Are you looking for department store fragrances or something more original ? I tend to shop the small unique vendors who make there own scents. I get far more compliments and enquiries with those products then anything I ever bought in a department store. There are a few exceptions but I even like the small vendor’s dupe of pink sugar better then the original.

Right now I am loving Lemon Sugar from Bathed and Infused.

Pumpkin Parfait is good and I love the Peach White Tea for a less sweet scent.

I love the Indoslot303 - Ikut Meramaikan Dunia Game Online Dengan Ratusan Game Favorit because you can order from lots of different companies all in one place and get free stuff and samples.

I just got Ruby rock star roll on perfume oil and its great. Its grapefruit rock candy and orchids and Miss Behaving which is Honey Wildflowers and vanilla.

I always support the ladies over at etsy and I just got some Bee perfume oil that I love. Wore this today and everybody kept taking big wiffs which just made them take in my pheromones as well LOL

I got my hubby some Liberty oil and boy it smells sexy.

He is not a big scent fan but he will use them to make me happy. He’s such a sweety.

If you want to go pricy here at AD try

The crew here sent me a bottle for my birthday. It is really lovely and works with the mones fabulously. I got tons of attention with this one to.

Then I got a bunch of sugar and salt scrubs from all over that smell heavenly.

Oh goddess I can go on and on. I am a bit of a bath and scent product hoarder LOL My walk in closet is like a small version of sephora for smaller vendors LOL :stuck_out_tongue:

Sheer Pleasures Soapworks (Sheer Pleasures Soapworks-luxury handcrafted soap) is also a great place to get fragrances. When I don’t use Boyfriend I use their Moonlit perfume oil. The perfume also comes in gardenia, lilac, raspberries & cream, honey almond, lemongrass, and on and on. (Moisturizing Perfume Spray)

I have a recipe for bath bombs. I like making them with my own essential oil mixes.

Why you evil enabler :open_mouth:, I love it … I must go shop now

BWAAAAAA-hahahahaha!!!:stuck_out_tongue::smiley: Boudicca, The Evil Enabler!

BTW if you like good lip balms, they have one with emu, lavender, and tea tree in it. I use that stuff year round but especially in flu season. As long as I wear it consistently, I am rarely sick with a cold or the flu. Even back when I was tutoring elementary through college, and kids would come in sniffling, sneezing, and hacking. And it’s a nice SOFT balm, too. Not so soft that it melts and runs all over your face, but it doesn’t feel like you’re gonna rip a lip off putting it on.

That sounds like a killer postscript to your sig line. OMG, yeah, that always got me; the lip balm that was so hard in the cold you risk cracking you lips to blood putting it on . . . :open_mouth: I have used Burts Bees since I’ve been here, just cos it’s the only one I know. Thanx for the tip!

ROFL! Yeah, the stuff is great. I swear by it. I will occasionally get another lip balm - usuallly just 'cause it’s tinted - but this stuff? It be GREAT! I found 'em at a renfaire a few years back and I have not been without the lip balm since. Their soaps and lotions are nice too. You can get a complete fragrance set…

…why is my cat licking my pant leg? >^.^< …

…and have everything layered, yet NOT be smelling like everybody who shops at the department store.

Well hell I gotta get some of that to. I am just getting over freaking bronchitis which went into laryngitis. Can you believe it… in the summer. I never get sick in the summer with this kind of stuff. I think the high pollen count has something to do with it. Not talking is not a option for me :stuck_out_tongue: and my boss thinks its hysterical because he knows not being able to talk is making me crazy.

Proof of his Assholiness. Try taking some local bee pollen. I never had allergies of the outside kind (pollen, ornamental cherry, etc) until I emigrated here. A woman at the Pikes Place Market who sells local honey and bee products gave me some pollen to take, as an immunizer - and it worked!

Do you get bath tub ring with yours ? I have some from Lush but they leave a ring that is a bitch to get rid of and will drive me insane. It makes the cleaning lady bitch in spanish to LOL (No I am not rich, my mother is though… snort, she got both me and my sister cleaning service 2 times a month for a year as a gift for xmas. she says we work to hard ) Problem is both me and my sister clean our house’s real good before she gets here so she doesnt think we are pigs LOL That lush ring takes forever to get out though.

I like salt baths have you made any of those ?

Tish

Sorry for the double post

True :stuck_out_tongue: I have tried local honey because I adore honey but not the pollen. I will look into it, thanks for the tip.

That’s funny (peculiar not ha ha), I’ve never had rings around the bathtub with either. The recipe I have calls for lots of bicarbonate of soda, oils and careful mixing. However, I don’t see any problem with jacking the mix with some Epsom salts. And I’ve seen them sold as just plain Epsom salts without modification or scent. In Oz, I couldn’t get just the plain salts - it came branded with scent and fine ground (in comparison).
So, my thought is if you mashed a bunch of the Epsom salts with a mortar and pestle (I KNOW you got one, Goddess lover that you are - me too); it would be an ‘easy’ combination. Grinding for the consistency and textures to match - bicarb and Epsom.

Tisha, the lip balms are good for warding off INFECTIOUS/CONTAGIOUS diseases. If you have a sinus infection from high pollen levels, or complications thereof, it won’t help. It just seems to be really good stuff at preventing virii and bacteria from jumping from somebody else to you.

I’ve been struggling with the pollen this year, too. Everybody in this whole region has. First time in a few years that I’ve gotten a sinus infection from it, too. Best for that once you got it is saline nasal sprays, guaifenisen (Mucinex or plain Robitussin) and plenty of water. I also use a swab of tea tree oil just inside each nostril right before I go to bed, but some people can’t tolerate it. It’s also bloody hell if you have a sore throat, cuz it WILL drain all the way through. :frowning:

And now back to your regularly scheduled topic of what scent to use in place of Pink Sugar…

No I got the bronchitis from a infectious virus that was going around my work. I think the pollen just made it tougher for me to fight it off and the symptoms worse then usual. So I can still buy the lip balm

Tisha

OK cool, that’ll definitely help next time.

Alternatives for PS - I have had major success with Victoria’s Secret Noir. it’s very sugar-sweet / flowery (but more sugar). I used to be all about citrus, but I have to say I really enjoy the warm and fuzzy feeling I get wearing sweet perfume.

Without fail, guys will tell me I smell good when I wear Noir. With or without pheromones.

Oooh, please share! I have recipes for bath salts, and all sorts of self spa treatments.
