Bloody b*****d banks!

Why do banks have to be such a***holes? I’ve been told by my bank today that they are going to charge me £100 as an overdraft fee! I overdrew my account by 32p  Bloody ridiculous! Thanks to my useless bank I’ll now have to revise my next order I was so excited about :frowning:

Do you have online banking with your bank? I’ve found with Bank of America that you can add money into your account from another one (i have multiple accounts) by the end of the day and it’ll save you an overdraft fee. It may be too late for that this time, but might help next time. Especially if you overdraft on a day the bank is closed. But ouch! That’s a pretty dang big hit to the ol’ pockets. That really sucks. Entschuldigung, senorita.

Yeah I bank online & the overdraft was done over the christmas holidays so when I transferred funds over it took 2 days to go in… they’re such c***s

I never got that…

“we’re going to charge you more money because you withdrew more than you had…”

oh ok… so… eventhough i don’t have anything… you’re going to charge me. so what you’re telling me is - i now have a NEGATIVE ammount of money!?

rediculous

HOLY CRAP!!! I didn’t think females used that word! this might go in my sig

Time to look for another bank I’d say! Don’t you have something like ‘dispo credit’ (I actually don’t have a clue if ‘dispo’ makes any sense in english) where you live? If I would be in the negatives my bank would charge me some interest - like for a credit card… So I’d maybe pay 1 or 2 cents for the -32 cents…

Who do you bank with?? I need some of that! I dont mind being charged interest for what I owe, that’s fair enough, but a £100 admin fee?

Hazard; this li’ll lady has a potty mouth…especially when in a “not so charming mood”

Reckon you need the help of a good lawyerI shall mount my white charger

Ahhww…Mr Diamond, you always know the right thing to say

Have you been with the bank for a while? If so, you might have a talk with a manager, especially if it was only 32 p.

Well, I’ve been with them since I moved to the UK, so almost 4 years. Not sure if they consider that longterm customer.

Maybe I’ll spritz on some phero’s, & pay the manager a visit

As I’m sure you are aware, there have been hundreds of court cases regarding bank charges in the past couple of years. I personally got back over £1200 going back over six years.

The cases are on hold at the moment pending a Court of Appeal decision. I’ll PM you tomorrow from work with some information. You will have to buy me a bottle of wine though!!

My sister works in a bank. I don’t know if UK banks are the same as Canadian banks but she can fix stuff like that. If you go to the bank and find the right person it might get reversed. Good luck.

Well, with some UK banks going back a couple of hundred years…

A whole bottle? How about half…sharing with me?

Well…
It is somewhat less than my usual fee but, seeing as it’s you

(diamond disappears in a cloud of dust towards the local off licence)

Google the bank and find out the name of the Chairman. Then write to his office at headquarters. If that doesn’t work, try writing to the Sunday Times money column.
