Body language: how the wealthy look wealthy

How an aspect of body language communicates financial status…???

Body Language Can Indicate Socioeconomic Status - Asylum | Men’s Lifestyle | Humor, weird news, sex tips, fashion, dating, food and gadgets

And here I thought staring off into space just meant they were on drugs… Then again maybe you have to be wealthy in order to afford drugs…

Right A-Rod?

Thanks Rbt, I’m reading the article off the UC system right now.

Now how can we apply the knowledge? How can improving your perceived SES status help? Makes you look richer? Or just suggests you could from a wealthy background, which in turn implies that you’re either getting money, had money, or can get money. I dunno, just thinking out loud.

One thought is if you desire to attract someone (or DON’T desire to attract someone) who is looking for a “sugar daddy” perhaps?

If you are in an environement where the “targets” you desire are going to judge you on your wallet, then you’d want to “walk the walk.”

Or conversly, if you want to avoid a remora fish type (ie someone who attaches to you with the sole purpose of living off you) then maybe you’d want to make sure you didn’t give off the “I got money” look…

^^^ My response is in red and bold…

There’s more to this than “body language”. There is the way one speaks; complete sentences, no dropped endings e.g. “going” not "goin’ ", complete words rather than contractions, and multisyllabic rather than simple words and so forth. The moneyed have attended good schools and are well educated.

Also the way one dresses is a giveaway. Well made traditional clothing. The wealthy don’t waste money on fads. Also no “I’m with stupid” tee shirts. The wealthy don’t wear clothing with words on them.

The above doesn’t include the trailer park resident who hit the lottery for $10 million, of course.

Wealthy men give women more orgasms - Times Online

Scientists have found that the pleasure women get from making love is directly linked to the size of their partner’s bank balance.
They found that the wealthier a man is, the more frequently his partner has orgasms.

 No suprise there LOL! Thanks for confirming what we all thought to be true anyways!

Well educated and ignorant.

The clothing was spot on on. A well made suit will never go out of fashion.
In America you have a system based on wealth. In Britain we have a system based on Class. A lot of people in noble circles are not as rich as they used to be but due to their connections they enjoy a privileged lifestyle. Going to the best schools, Social functions, Placement in the armed forces etc. The Landed Gentry we call them and it’s something that you can’t buy your way into.

Gives a whole new meaning to “Is that your wallet or are you just happy to see me?”

Around here, you can tell someone’s SES from their clothing choices and speech, rather than the disengagement, which is cultivated a lot by wannabes with a feeling of self-importance.

There were some interesting comments in the times article:

Don’t think it has much to do with wealth and a lot to do with what’s going on in a sexual partner’s brain… Even men, when you’re down and out with life’s worries, you’re less likely to drop everything (figuratively speaking) to enjoy yourself.

golddiggers, i still say this guy wins out YouTube - 1964 - James Bond - Goldfinger: title sequence

This is proof that surveys show bias and not facts

If you need more proof you need merely look into my pants of destiny :stuck_out_tongue:

Although I applaud them for their amazing insight on how more attractive mates give better orgasms…
