Body Language/Power Posing+Pheros=Congruence

Body language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves. Social psychologist Amy Cuddy shows how ?power posing? ? standing in a posture of confidence, even when we don’t feel confident ? can affect testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain, and might even have an impact on our chances for success.

This is an interesting read, and it got me thinking about those times when using -mones that everything is hitting on all cylinders. You know, you are wearing the right mix, in the right environment, in front of the right people.

The self effects are making you confident, so you stand up a little straighter, you have no social anxiety, you don’t hesitate…the right words come out at the right time and it is confirmed by the response you get from those you come in contact with.

This confirmation is giving you more confidence so you make a move. This is confirmed with a smile, a touch, or she moves closer. They come into your phero cloud and these good feelings are confirmed in their brain, and they signal to you again. A hair flip, a look, a whispered comment. These signals are then in turn picked up by you and fed back into what becomes a phero>neural>physical> feedback loop, which is now intertwined into her PNP feedback loop…and you have made the critical connection.

Now, on top of all that, you add into the equation that this “Power posing” the author is speaking about, the body actually dumps testosterone and cortisol on top of that fire, it is like supercharging the whole mechanism.

Boom goes the dynamite.

Yes body language is a very important social factor. Every stance has a subconscious message, and when you add pheromones to the mix, it really can be quite interesting. Good post, CelticPrince.

Yup - With some mixes and in some situations, geting the body language right alongside the mones can make a huge difference.

IME, usually the sort of situations where conversation is difficult and you have more reliance on nonverbal attraction triggers - bearing, presence, eye-contact, physicality, kino etc - clubs/gigs etc and usually alongside a no-nonsense sexual/status combo.

So if you feel your personality/game etc is lacking, still do your very best to walk the walk with your body language and phero choice- it will often be just enough to carry you forward.

Yes, indeed. Walk in like you own the friggin place. “Hey, who is that dude??”

For me, before pheros, keeping eye contact was hard for me. One of the top “improvements” for me that I attribute 100% to phero usage is the ability to hold eye contact. (Without being creepy) Make the contact, wait for their eyes to join yours, linger a couple seconds, then smile and slowly glance away. Then a few seconds later steal another look. Many times they will still be watching you. I count that as a hit. The stealing a second look is my personal “confirmation” mechanism. If there was no interest she wont be still looking I assume…unless its something like my trousers zipper is open or something.
