I am not sure if A314 can be ‘watered down’, but I will ask the question anyway.
Even one drop of A314 initially has a negative effect for me, for several hours, before it comes good. So what I would like to do is to try to test a diluted solution. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions?
You could try using some tea tree oil. I don’t know if the oils will mix. You might try putting a couple drops in little glass tube (get a cologne sampler from a deparment store. Onyx has a tube that is ideal. Put some a314 in it, then whatever ratio of tea tree you want. Shake it up and see if they separate. www.Gemlite.com has Dowanol™ Dipropylene glycol methyl ether. Makes oil miscible with water. This might help. If you won’t want to go that overboard you could test with a drop of parfumers oil, maybe isopropyl, or ethyl alcohol. Oh, you could get some startering fluid from Autozone (make sure it is ether, and not something else) spray it into PVC pipe tipped down to a bottle. That will exctract the ether and allow the propellants to evaporate. If you do this, BE CAREFULL, and avoid any open flames. Have proper ventalation, and I assume no liability for any injuries you may aquire. It’s not likely that you will, but I have to inform you that I don’t recomend doing this, and if anybody performs this method you will agree to waive any legal actions toward me. hehe, I have to have a legal disclamer if i’m giving information on anything remotely dangerous.
Thanks for the replies. Both tea tree and almond oil are quite cheap here in the UK, so I will give them a try. Starting fluid does not seem to be quite as easy to get hold of.
I’ve been curiose about olive oil. I know some people use it for masage oil.
Oh it’s best to use and oil that has antibacterial properties. Bacteria doesn’t readily grow in lipids, but it is possible. You might want to call Jasmin and ask her what oil they use for A314. That would be the easiest by far.
as a matter of fact it is! something i learned from a walking encyclopedia of a friend last night, is that linseed is marketed much like crude oil, by different grades and each grade has it’s uses. I was thinking of the kind that you use in painting - but it does a great job of diluting paints - i’m jsut not sure it can be used on your skin. I’m not sure which one has the ketones.
unfortunately, the edible flaxseed oil isn’t very useful for diluting A314.
I’m not really certain about the grapeseed, or any for that matter, with the use of the phero’s.
I know that the Jojoba oil ones I had always sold the best. I don’t know why, but it just did.
I couldn’t tell the difference in scent when I did smell them but every customer I had always wanted the ones with the Jojoba. It figured as it was more exensive which cut down my profits.
You might be right about the grapeseed, but it’s been a while since I sold them. I’ve moved onto poloroid cameras, 8-track players and stupid stuff with a big online market.
I don’t think that A314 is in a vegetal oil – I think the diluent in A314 is DPG. I got a bottle of DPG (Dipropylene Glycol) from Androtics (see the 30 ml cobalt blue bottle under the menu “Mixing Supplies” on the store (or just click here).
I’ve also diluted A314 with formulator’s alcohol (denatured alcohol with DPG) down to a 3:1 or 5:1 or 10:1 ratio and used it as a spray. Works perfectly, just like A314 ‘oil’ but disperses faster.
