Wow, Diane, you gave me a list to go through so let’s get to it:
She is post-menopausal, stopped cycling 4 years ago or so, should have been more precise…
She was orgasmic only a little into her previous marriage so for the past 20 years almost has been anorgasmic.
Her general health is very good, she had a cervical cancer treatment 3 years ago with no return of the threat since.
She was married for 20 years, it broke down 2 years ago and we have been together just about a year, although we have known eachother for a little over 3 years.
“Does she have trust issues, or issues about being vulnerable, or issues about receiving without feeling guilty?” Trust was an issue with the breakdown of her marriage and with the rebound relationship she founded just after, she chose my companionship before we became a couple because she felt that she could trust me, when she discovered that I was available she purposefully ended her current relationship in order that we may make our own. She still has problems with being vulnerable which we are working on together, likewise she has felt for a long time that giving pleasure was expected, receiving it not… We are working hard on getting that problem sorted out too.
As for soundness of our relationship, we have already talked about commitment and she has agreed to marry me, we shall make that official on her birthday in a couple of months time
We discussed her problems ( and mine ) way back in history, when we were ‘just’ friends, so we both knew what we were letting ourselves in for…
I hope these answers are sufficient to make some sense of…
I know it sounds a bit soppy, but we both feel that we had been waiting a lot of years to find eachother, to both of us it seems that we have been together much longer, quite an amazing relationship!
We do have an active, fun, sex life exploring ways to make it as much fun for her as it is for me… I won’t say any more than that
