I have been reading a lot of journals and I occasionally come across people saying things like “I cannot discuss this product (this mix, etc.) because it is under embargo”. What does it mean? Which products are actually under embargo? Having my own journal, I wouldn’t want to get into trouble because of discussing a product under embargo. Can someone please explain what’s up with that, and is there a list of those products somewhere?
I could be wrong since I am new here- but just trying to help. I believe embargo means a black out period. I suppose when a tester/ experimenter can’t discuss what they are testing (or an item isn’t currently in production).
Yup - its a delay between your posting a report and it appearing in public view on the forum. Its to try and get responses that are not influenced by other people’s findings.
Yes - we have access to the specific reporting forums, where there are threads for each individual product under test. We file our reports just like any other post on here and eventually they come-off embargo and the thread fills-up.
