It is really hot here in New York, and my job involves me to do physical activities, and I seem to sweat a lot in general. Can this wash off or diminish the effect of pheromones in any way?
Yes it can wash off the pheromone, so apply less each time, but more frequently.
Wow, thanks for the quick answer.
I think it can diminish the effects, the good thing is in hot weather when you sweat and your bodyheat rises you also difuse the pheromones a lot faster, hence more effective in the short term, so like mockingbird said above, apply more frequently.
I can’t wait for summer ![]()
No problem, you can also try some other spots where there are less sweat, like maybe your hair, wrist, and even clothes if you want to ![]()
I read somewhere that clothes was not a good place to apply pheroes… might be wrong.
Pheromones work best when applied directly to the skin. but they still work when on a shirt or other location your Scent collects.
the difference is when applied to your skin they disperse with your own natural signature enhancing the smell and tying it directly to you, not to Tide (or what you wash your shirt with)
The temperature of the environment you are in will alter the length of time their effect lasts. I have noticed several evenings when laying on the couch, that when I laid down I could still smell the scent of the base or backer oils on my wrist, over 14 hours after they were applied.
Like already posted, you can sweat off applied pheromones. This is more along the lines of sauna condition sweating, or other profuse sweating as seen during cardiovascular exercise, where sweating becomes a detoxifying process as well as for temperature regulation.
There an opposite. Sweat can increase your pheromone signature provided it’s not excessive. Fresh sweat contains alpha androstenol, which is converted into alpha androstenone by bacteria on your skin (mostly in your armpits and around your nipples). A moderate amount of sweating should be considered in your mixes. Through out the day your androstenone levels will climb as the bacteria converts the natural pheromones in your sweat.
It may be beneficial to go easy on the masculine bases and reapply your lighter buffering agents every 4 hours.
I stated that androstenol is converted to androstenone. This is true, but don’t be afraid to wear adnrostenol. This conversion is only to a significant degree in your armpits. So as long as you apply to normal places like your neck, arms, and wrists, you won’t have to even consider conversion from applied alpha androstenol.
Of course your sweat contains natural mones. If you’re sweating like a pig, you may not need much extra as your output is peaked. Also, the amount of types of mones used while sweaty should be different than when freshly showered. I’m guessing you should avoid androstenone…
To avoid washing mones away with continuous sweat, apply to clothing and hair. Applying to skin when you’re dripping is a never ending battle you can’t win. I know as I live in hot 'n humid Honolulu.
I just apply less, more often. Some of the pheromones you sweat off will also end up in your clothes. Like Gegogi, I live in a hot, and sometimes humid climate- Florida (it gets up to 95 degrees here many days in the summer, with up to 75-80 percent humidity sometimes).
The only thing I see that may not be desirable about this method is you never get that punch of a fresh full concentration. For me that’s the best part. And pheromones seem to lose peak effectiveness after 3 hours trailing to the 4th. Less on hot days. Getting the right dose can be very important if you mix for specific situations.
I am no sweaty pig. I do however tend to sweat when it’s 95 degrees out I am carrying boxes and the AC is broken. So I was wondering…
lucky for you, I sweat like a pig in the summer…fast metabolism n all, often just from normal walking, if i’m in the gym that’s a different story ![]()
even in winter i sometimes sweat just from normal activities, i guess when it comes to pheromones it could be a benefit AND curse.
Trust me, if its hot out and I walk I sweat as well.
