Pheromones in hot weather??

It’s summer time here and the weather is constantly over 100 degrees. I’ve read that sweating causes the mones to lose effect. Basically my question is should I only use them right before I get to the place I want to be so I’m not outdoors to long to prevent having to re apply and possibly od?

Androstenol and A1 coverts to androstenone with time when exposed to sweat. You could apply your mones on clothes.

Applying them on clothes! Brilliant! I hadn’t thought of that! I’m usually so concerned with making sure they are on exposed flesh. But when I sweat in the heat (everybody wants to do things outside in the summer), the mones just wash away. I didn’t want to waste product by reapplying every half hour, so that really solves my problem! Thanks!

Clothes applications are often very hit or miss and some fibres are highly unsuitable because they absorb and trap the pheros very effectively - Leading to longer-term stinky problems if you don’t steep them in an Oxy-type detergent or peroxide-rinse them before washing.

I’ve also found that you need to use considerably more pheros compred to skin application and that clothing needs to be tight and/or the conditions pretty warm to maintain any effective diffusion.

All-in it was quite a waste of expensive product for me.

There are various skin-based tactics to regulate diffusion/breakdown in hotter climes, these include using lotion on less sweat-prone app points to barrier the skin, mixing spray pheros into moisturiser and “sealing-in” pheros with other forms of barrier cream. Quite a few threads on this if you search.

If you have still have hair on your head, you can apply to your golden locks. Works better on a little longer hair and not close to the scalp (head sweats too).

Avoid the back of the ears as some funky conversion happens with the extra heat and oils.

Cloth absorbs and holds onto the molecules. It cuts down on the diffusiveness and distance.

Unless your sweating profusely you wont really sweat all your mones off. Remember you secrete your own in your sweat and its just gonna mingle with the synthetic mones.

I tend to use more oils in the summer month because they last longer and diffuse well. Sometimes if I am using a spray I will apply it with lotion or baby oil to slow the diffusion a little. Usually I need to up my dose slightly when I do this but not much.

Hair is a good option as well.

Sounds like hair is going to be the best solution. I can’t wear moisturizers or lotions in high heat, they make me sweat more. And I don’t want to risk fading clothing by using oxy detergent every time.

Appreciate the info, I have really short hair so I guess I’ll just keep it on the skin

Short hair is better TBH.

Too long and it will never get your body heat to help diffuse and it is easier to wash the mones out. And if you have any bald spots - Think of them as your perfect phero-radiator. Blood flow to the skin on your head is excellent for diffusion!

You do need to be careful using anything containing Androstenone or that breaks down to Androstenone around hair, as none can bind fairly strongly and throw your dosing off on subsequent day, then stink - Again this is less of a problem with very short hair as you can give it a good hard wash with hot soapy water or witch hazel, tea tree or salicylic acid shampoo - which all shifts them nicely!
