Define Success

Why is it that money equals success?

For all i can see is, the most useless members of our society harvest the greatest rewards.

People who have money have less things to worry about materially and more time to pursue what makes them happy, whatever that may be, supposedly.

Also, it’s difficult to quantify “success”, as it varies from one person to another. To some, it’s having a house over their heads (all paid for, no more mortgage), to others, it’s having enough money to send their kids to college, to others again, it’s being able to get a new pair of Manolos whenever they feel like it…
So a shortcut is made that money = success because it’s supposed that money can buy the time to do things that we really want to do.

Just my two-cent

hey Reaper vai. success to me is when it’s all said and done, i hope that when people think of me, it puts a smile on their face.

A successful man makes more money than his wife can spend.

A successful woman is the one who marries him

having an intention and executing it with the desired result.

Success to me is keeping my familly happy. Keeping the roof over our heads… and being happy. Money sure as hell would give me a chance to pursue a lot of other things…

What kind of success we talking about.

Being a successful business person can be far different from being successful person. While its nice to be a success at some endeavor, I would much rather be a successful person. Because once you become a successful person your truly successful at the only thing that really matters. Life.

So to me its simple.

Knowing your self worth not just your monetary worth. I live in Fairfield county. The 5th richest county in the USA. I can tell you first hand money doesn’t buy happiness or time. It buys things. Things can be lost in the blink of a eye but the truly successful person knows his/her worth doesn’t lie in those things.

Being happy with who you are no matter what they may be

Learning to give love and receive it

Give more then you take.

Leave a positive mark on the world before you leave no matter how small.

Success is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Money is merely a tool to quantify value. For example, instead of a baker trading 30 000 loaves of bread to GM for a car, they both trade their products for money and use money as a tool to barter. Ergo, the more money you have made, the more value you have created for other people. Obviously ALL value isn’t quantified, for example family relationships.
