Do your pheros cause dry and unhealthy hair?

Im curious. How many females use phero sprays in the hair? I put a couple shots of IS in my goatee throughout the day and I notice my lil pubes getting / feeling a little dry (or crispy even). Anyone else getting this on their head? Its probably just the alcohol dehydrating the hairs…right?

As I understand it, most of the ladies here use spray products in their hair.

Alcohol dries out everything. It saps your hair of its natural oils and all that… try putting a wee bit of some moisturizing hair care product (like conditioner) in your goatee before spraying.

well…I apply my IS about 3 times per day at work to the goatee. 11 hour days suck. anyways, so maybe usuing a lil conditioner in it every morning? Would that suffice? or is this something that you think would need to be applied prior to the application of the pheros…each time?

You should condition more frequently until your hair feels natural again, but once it is, you could probably get away with using it once in the morning. Everyone’s hair is different, though. If you find that towards the end of the day your goatee is getting dry/crispy again, you can get a little spray bottle of leave-in conditioner for convenience while on the job.

Dont get me wrong, I am a guy and its not to big of an issue right now, I just dont want to do unremovable damage…but now that i think about it…thats kinda stupid cause hair grows out…theres no way to really permanently damage hair is there? I feel like a girl.

This spray bottle of conditioner…that just something that sprays in, conditions and settles? or is it a messy project each time?

Yeah, I know. But I figure that since you’re asking, I should give as much advice as possible  Besides, who doesn’t want soft hair, right?

No, the leave-in conditioner is pretty easy to use. Just spray, maybe rub it in a bit, and it settles.

And yes, you can permanently damage hair. With alcohol-based spray products, I’d assume it’s pretty unlikely. But if you, for example, bleach your hair too close to your scalp, it can potentially damage the roots and your hair will either not grow (in more extreme or long-term cases), or grow back brittle at contact points. If you ever buy a bleach product to use at home, it’ll say to apply a fourth to a half inch away from your scalp.

I will keep that in mind - Thanks so much for the great information!

Mones have a alcohol carrier and yes alcohol drys the hair and skin so if you use it in your hair use a good conditioner. Yes it does matter even to men. Dry hair is unattractive. You want to work with your mones not against them LOL

The leave in conditioner is great to use to, just be sure to get a good one so it dosnt look greasy.

Good ending to an informative thread bumps to the back of the boards

I tend to use an old perfume trick here I learned as an 11 year old when it comes to applying things to hair. What I do is spritz some stuff just above my head and sort of walk into the mist. It should cling to your hair and clothes, and you should be able to feel those droplets landing on you, without worrying about stains and it should last for a couple of hours. I haven’t done that in a while, but I’ll probably have to get back to it if I’m going to be spraying things to the top of my head.

thats a good idea Richis. i know lots of people do that with perfume. but i cant stand to know if i spray a phero cloud and walk into it , theres gotta be some that im wasting! :frowning:

Maybe you could do that with the cheaper pheros or ones where you don’t worry about affecting yourself too much? Or at least aim the spray directly above the head?

Then again, I know how you feel. I once spilled a bit of oil based pheros on the floor and I wasn’t exactly happy either. cries
