You can’t mail flammable liquids via USPS. Last year I tried to mail Christmas goodies in an old Jack Daniels box (nuts & candy). I even scratched off Jack Daniels with a Sharpie and covered with tape. It was refused at the local Post Office because they recognized it as a booze box and, even though no alcohol inside, it is illegal to use anything with even a suggestion of a flammable liquid. Weird but true. Thank Jesus for UPS and FedEx…
Getting off topic, but TSA made me pour out my flask at San Francisco because flammable liquids aren’t allowed aboard airliners. Now that’s a real head scratcher as you can buy booze at Duty Free and onboard…
I send perfume all the time USPS and I work there so I know the regulations. We had a brief period a while back when we were stuck for finding a solution to shipping potentially dangerous substances but they worked it out very quickly.
The box is the problem because you can not have any indication of anything flammable or the airport wont let us ship it in the belly of a commercial flight. Thats how the mail gets around and safety of the passengers comes first. We ask you at the window if there is anything flammable perishable sharp or potentially dangerous because if there is we will mark it as either land transport or overseas. Perfume’s flash point is not a issue and you can ship perfume without a problem on commercial flights.
Jack Daniels has a higher flash point but even though you and the postal clerk know that there was no Jack Daniels in the box the airport security dosnt. They have asked that we do not allow boxes that indicate flammable on them because it makes for less confusion or mistakes. There policy is to send back anything even crossed out that indicates a hazerdous substance.
It may seem extreme to some but not to those people sitting on that plane with the substance below then in the hold
Fed ex has its own fleet of planes so does UPS but congress wont let us get our own. We use Fed ex for our flammables packages when we can not transport it another way, in exchange for delivering there overflow of packages. Similar deals have been made with UPS as well. While we are all seperate we cross over quite a bit. I pick up and deliver for fed ex and UPS everyday.
Aaaaand i do believe that makes up the full list of people. So far people seem to be enjoying it, from the couple times i’ve gotten to talk to them about it, so i’m a happy camper. This should balance my karma for stealing that last pint of Creme Brulee ice cream right from under that other girl’s nose in the grocery store yesterday… i mean, she was already looking through the Ben and Jerry’s section, but I found it first!

Honestly, i have NO IDEA. You’re gonna find that they come out as more squirts unless you press down very firmly. They look good, but the atomizers leave a little to the wanting, i’m afraid. Just didn’t have any left from androtics to use… gotta order some more, now that i think of it!
I use them for to transfer the juice of cologne sample vials i get, so i can spray them instead of trying to dab the juice on.
