I take ritalin for my adhd. It seems to me that my pheros have greater self effects when I’m on it. Ritalin’s main action is to increase levels of dopamine in the brain, so I’m wondering if there’s a connection between the increased dopamine and more powerful response to pheromones. It definitely seems that way. Anyone else notice this?
I also notice similar increases in phero effectiveness when I use my PEA/hordenine stack.
Yea TRDE MHarris and Jasmin have said that certain pheromones really take a toll on neurotransmitter levels and it may be wise to take neurotransmitter precursors. I think they were talking about high doses of things like Instant Shine and Instant Honesty. So it would make sense that you were getting more powerful responses on yourself from pheromones after taking Ritalin. I think MHarris actually said that those with higher neurotransmitter levels get more out of Instant Shine/TAA or something to that effect…
That makes me think. Perhaps another thing that those with higher Pheromone Response Quotients (in MarkL’s thread in the Men’s forum) share is higher neurotransmitter levels…

Yeah. I don’t have instant shine yet, but I’ve definitely noticed increased dopamine levels for a few minutes when I inhale a good whiff or two of instant honesty straight from the bottle.
Seems to me that the beta-androstenol increases levels of both dopamine and GABA, while alpha-androstenol increases GABA only. I’ve found that if I feel a little “overstimulated” on my ritalin, I can calm myself with a few whiffs of spaceland from the bottle. I don’t really like doing that with Instant Honesty cause the dopamine increase sort of makes me hyper-focused to the point of unpleasantness if I’m on ritalin as well.
I’m thinking something like TAF would be mostly dopamine and maybe some norepinephrine. From the testimonials it seems kinda like a phero-ritalin.
P88 is very PEAish. Try 250mg of PEA + 50mg of hordenine, and then once the effects have worn off try some p88. Almost identical, at least to me. I like it. It would probably be very nice in intimate situations if I could remember to put it on.
