Some time back, someone posted a link to the e-Cigarette, which is an electronic device that looks like a cigarette and administers vaporized nicotine when puffed. The effect is of actually taking in a smoke-like substance (more like steam), inhaling, and exhaling said smoke, which instantly disapates, negating second hand smoke.
Well, I was at the mall today, and there was a kiosk with a guy selling them, and offering sample puffs on one. I tried and and HOLY CRAP! The effect is surreal. Getting past the fact that you’re puffing on a piece of plastic rather than a spongey filter, it feels and tastes just like smoking a real cigarette. I was intrigued by the website that was posted in the previous thread about them, but trying it myself, I was instantly sold.
If you’re a smoker and you’re interested in a healthier alternative, or you want to try to quit and, like me, are just as addicted to the hand-to-mouth action as you are the nicotine, check out your local mall. There may be one of these kiosks there, and you can sample it for yourself. It’s pretty cool!
That post about e-cigs got me curious, so I looked into them. I ended up buying one online (after extensive research of course) and I absolutely love it.
I don’t know what the actual model mine is, since it doesn’t have any sort of designation. The company is called Smoking Everywhere. I think there’s a handful of companies selling them, but they all work on the same design. This thing is such a trip!
I was tempted to get one myself…because i still get the urge to smoke every once in a while..it more psychological then anything else especially after a day of hell
but i just did not want to spend so much money online without seeing it in person to see what it like
i wish they had one in my mall to see what i like first

The dse-901 model is approximately $50 online, and is the best, most reasonably priced model (according to my research). It is also one of the most commonly used models, so parts are easy to find and reasonably priced.

There are so many interesting single malts I would love to explore (but expensive ). So I just have to be satisfied with an occasional Glenlivet. With cigarettes of course (or e-cigarettes )
I do feel so much better, with the e-cig as opposed to the real ones. Though if I’m upset or pissed off, and someone has a real one around, I might bum one
Puresmoker.com is supposed to be an excellent site, with great customer service according to my internet research. I have bought their e-liquid (the “cash pure menthol”) in medium 16mg strength, and it was fabulous. Its like smoking Binaca, lol (with a nice nicotine kick, of course).
I actually bought mine from China, before Puresmoker.com’s prices came down.
if there is one malt i would highly recommend if you are ever going to spend the money try Talisker 18y/o even the 10y/o is nice but 18y/o is great! it costs around $80 a bottle here..it is my favorite..

beats the heck out of me…i really have not done enough research…so FDA has no problem with keeping cigs that will kill you but wants to ban the stuff that is safe…sounds like the goverment is afraid of losing all those taxes…
I love the reaction I get from people with this. ESPECIALLY the anti-smoking nazis who make a point to overact a coughing fit whenever they see you smoke. I’m just waiting for that to happen with my e-cig so I can point and laugh my ass off.
I whipped it out at work today and puffed a few times, much to the shock and horror of a pregnant woman who is working light duty in my area. She told me “Are you retarded? You can’t smoke in here!” I just smiled, took a hit, inhaled, exhaled the little cloud which immediately dissipated with no odor, and said “I’m not smoking.” By then, she was beside herself. “You could get in trouble!” said in that “…because I’m gonna tell!” kind of way. I said “For what? I’m not smoking.” All calm and collected. “YES YOU ARE, AND IF YOU HURT MY BABY WITH THAT CRAP, SO HELP ME GOD…!!!” Finally I just looked at her and shook my head in pity. “Look,” I said, “This is absolutely harmless to me, you, and your baby. I don’t think this is so much about you and your unborn child as much as it is your need to control people’s behavior… and that’s YOUR problem. (looong, slow puff) Now if you don’t mind, I have a job to do.”
Oh, and my weaknesses are coffee and beer. Gotta have one with a cuppa, and my smoking volume doubles when I’m drinking beer.

Actually, my China guy has been extremely reliable, and has excellent customer service. I have ordered his dse-901’s for several people around here, more than once, with speedy service and no problems.
His name is Ping, and his email is ecigchina@gmail.com, and he sells dse-901 kits (only black or white), spare parts (atomizers and batteries), and the prefilled cartridges in menthol, tobacco or Marlboro flavors. If you do go that route, maybe tell him that Jen from Hawaii recommended him, and maybe he’ll give me a discount or something next time I order. He’s super nice, and ethical thus far in my dealings with him.
He has even sent me replacement parts when I thought it was defective (it was just clogged though) based on my word alone.
Ping’s are approximately $30 or so, and I believe he does have a 3 month warranty as well. Just email him and ask him, he’s pretty good about communicating.
For some reason I thought E Smokey Treats had some different kind of e-cig that isn’t compatible with the dse-901, making you forced to have to buy all your parts, etc from them only. Maybe that was another one I was thinking of. I’ll check out your link in a moment.
I like the dse-901 because it is a very common model, and some parts from other brands are supposed to be able to fit on them and work on them too.
Hmm, it says it (the e smokey treats one) is compatible with the dse-901’s. Kind of expensive though, but I notice you get an extra atomizer in your kit, and that blue looks pretty nice (mine is black with blue LED tip).
Though they do sell the e-liquid too, which is convenient, one stop shopping.
