Just out of curiosity, does anyone else on this site vape?
And by vape, I mean use a reusable electronic cigarette. Not Blu, X-hale, or those other “7-11” gas station ones. Stuff like EVOD, EGO, Joyetech, Kanger, Vision, ect for variable voltage batteries.
Personally I use a mechanical mod but would like to see what other vapers are using!
Yes - I’ve been vaping since 2010 and have cut my tobacco consumption to minimal levels and kept it there.
I’m currently using an EVOD and dual coil Kanger Mini Protank on some older E-Go batteries and liking them both very much - been through a range of e-cigs before but once I find one I like I tend to stick with it for a while.
Another very useful aspect of the e-cig is that even a small/stealthy amount of exhaled vapour can tell you a lot about the airflow in any environment and hence how to position yourself for the most useful phero-effect.
Oh and e-cigs are a useful talking point/icebreaker as well. Maybe not so much as four years ago but still often enough to be a valuable tool in your repertoire.
Forsure! Yeah I have been vaping exclusively for a while now and I am at the point where I can comfortably go a full day without any nicotine. This is after I worked at a smoke shop and would be smoking a pack to a pack and a half a day. I didn’t smoke for that long (about six years, three of them at the pack a day mark). No problem! I ask because I work in the industry and figured might as well ask on a forum and see what the thoughts were about it.
That is uncalled for yo…
Completely off topic and not appreciated…if you have actual questions about what a vape is because you don’t know, then ask. But please do not associate what I do as a job as being tweaker.
I appreciate that you just joined this month. Welcome. Please don’t jump down my throat in the lounge, take things out of context or spring to rash conclusions.
You didn’t say vaping was your job; obviously, I hope nobody here smokes a crack pipe, and I clearly don’t advocate it, nor do I do it. E-cig products are legal in most areas. I’ve tried several brands and have one now I like.
I don’t wish to offend your intelligence, but I assumed you understood satire? Humor? Everything on a message board isn’t to be taken literally. Nevertheless, unless some comment is patently offensive or illegal, people are permitted to say what they please. Nobody want to offend you, but people are allowed to express their opinion as they see fit. Some talk can be controversial, sexually explicit and everywhere in between.
I really didn’t have any questions. This isn’t some lecture where I have to raise my hand and ask permission from the professor before I speak? Lounge is for “Friendly chit-chat and “off topic” discussions.” A rigorous discussion of technical or professional vaping would probably be better suited to an e-cig or vaping message board?
I’m new to the tank-type units. Not an expert or professional. Compared to cartomizers, they seem to offer good value. Kits like Blu run to $75. I think I spent $30. Slightly more for spare tanks, batteries. They need not be expensive. Most of the cartomizers and disposables seem lackluster vs. the refillable tank. I agree with that. A Blu disposable (gas station throwaway) runs about $10. Not a good value, IMHO. They don’t last as long as claimed. Any decent refillable kit seems better.
Apologies for the response, I misunderstood your input. It has been a while since I have been on a forum and am used to constant trolling from members, part of the reason as to why I have never been on a forum for a while.
And I hadn’t meant this to be, as you put, a lecture, but rather as a place for information to be shared regarding this exploding industry that has been under a lot of fire due to mis-information spread by supposed “experts” who don’t do enough research about the topic before talking about it.
In regards to the rest of your post, I have to say that I take pride in my work and have successfully helped many people stop smoking through vaping. Even lost a few customers because they are completely free of nicotine.
I will have to agree with you however about refillable tanks vs. “cig-a-likes” (pretty much the vaping name for Blu and those disposables). You won’t get nearly the performance or satisfaction from those compared to many refillable tanks.
Something Plus is the name? TBH, it was an impulse buy. Maybe $35 for the whole works? Extra batts or tanks cost a little more. The juice does have nic. Thing is, the results I would compare as better to Blu. It provides an option not to use nic. Or different strengths. These were at first online only, now in stores. So, from what I see, there are professional products but also for a budget. I’m going to see the charge performance over time, charge cycles, mAh of the battery, etc.
Most any e-cigs don’t deliver good battery life. It’s like cell phones. Quality batts and chargers are an engineering science. If this thing quits on me in 30 days, I know I need something better. But I’m not buying anymore Blu, etc.
If I ditch this unit, I might hack it for a mones diffuser. I need to study the schematics and technicals more closely. Mobo is right though. It will tell you the atmospherics of where you are. Bars that have “smoke eaters” (ionizers), they my actually kill mones diffusion as they remove smoke. I’ve wondered for some time that ionizers would kill mones diffusion.
Interesting - With the UK smoking ban, bars/clubs have not gone the ioniser route - Instead they mainly prefer “Air-Care”, which usually means a timed spray of some god-awful cheap scent, which may contain substances that do-for pheros but more usually you just get a stumping headache from it after a couple of hours.
There is also a persistent myth in the UK pub/club trade that assumes people always buy more drinks in hot/steamy environments, so many places never use their aircon to anything like the capacity it is capable of - which is actually good for pheros, even if it ain’t good for anyone else. And its not that places don’t have aircon - changes to the planning/building regs back in the 80s mean that virtually everywhere (the oldest/grottiest old-man’s bars excepted maybe) does have decent ventilation.
That’s it. In the States, there are some outright bans and some where it depends upon food sales. Chains like Applebee’s I don’t think there is any tobacco. Private places in FL have tobacco, a shock to those from UK. Allowing for a transition; vape permitted, tobacco phased out will allow smaller places to survive. Many in FL and elsewhere would not survive an outright tobacco ban.
