With e-cigs, what determines a “cigarette’s worth” is very subjective, since you’re going on approximations. With a real cigarette, you smoke it til it’s gone, and there’s no question about how many you’ve smoked. Now, having said that, I’ve noticed that the cartridge of the 901 can sometimes retain juice while not producing vapor. You might consider what’s been called the “straw mod”, where you get the smallest coffee stirrer-type straw you can find, cut it a certain way, and slip it in the cartridge to improve airflow in to the cart as the juice is used up.
When you stop getting vapor, but your battery is still good and the atomizer doesn’t seem clogged up, pull the wadding out of the cart with a pair of tweezers. If it’s still wet, the above trick will add a couple or 3 more “cigarette’s worth” to your cart life.
very easy to use
great throat hit
long battery life, one battery lasts me all day
lots of vapor
now here is where the selling point comes is with the cartridge, the cartridge has the atomizer built in and is suppose to last about 250 puffs, and you do not have to mess with refilling and maintenance of cleaning of the atmoizer. they are called cartomizers and come in pack of 5 and can find them for anywhere for $6 - 12 depending where you get them and if on sale
BUT here is the big BUT, I found them to be very inconsistent, i found some cartridges to last an extremely long time, and others to last 20 puffs…I had a pack of 5 cartomizers and 2 of them only lasted 20 puffs, my thrid ones seems to be going very srtong at least 60 puffs now
reading on the e-cig boards this is a known problem and one downside
You can supposedly refill these cartomizers but they never taste the same
So to sum up this would be the perfect e-cig if the cartomizers would really last like they are suppose to…
In the meantime I went back to smoking a few real cigarettes…i am just getting too frustrated…dealing with all this…just not worth it anymore…and spending way too much money finding the perfect one..I think I spent over $100 between the 510 and KR808D-1 and all the juices and cartomizers and it still does not feel like a real cigarette no matter what.
I am just going to make sure i only smoke a few a day like when i am drinking…and that is it..
Do you guys know anything about “manual” batteries? I got an email from an e-cig company saying they were selling them now, but there wasn’t much info on it. This was for a dse-901 model (see this is why I love this model, can mix-n-match with whatever)
a manual battery is a battery that has a button on it..that when you inhale it will not cut you off and can inhale until you stop holding the button so you can get a really nice throat hit
usually automatic battery has a 5-8 second automatic cutoff time where you have to stop inhaling
either of you ever tried lucky strikes? apparently they dont sell them in america anymore and was thinking of importing some, but ive got to buy 2 cartons, dont want to waste the money if they suck.
its mostly cause of pop culture in the olden days when cigs were free to be displayed on tv- its what everyone smoked.
dunhill changed do not even bother…they do not taste like they use to
never heard of Nat sherman??? they are american made and based out of NYC, though I think it is grown out of virginia
OH MY
they are the best tasting cigarette EVER no joke, it is so smooth
it is 100% all natural…no additives..what that means is all you get is pure tobacco that is it…and they take about 10 minutes to smoke one…they are long queen size most of them
they are more expensive and considered luxury cigarettes
in NYC they cost $12.25 a pack, elsewhere depending upon taxes can be around $7-9
It is not really menthol it is mint but they had to change the name due to the stupid govt law they just passed
anyway what they do is put mint in the filter so as you smoke it passes over the filter and gives you that mint taste
what most cigarette companies do is put menthol addidtive that really is not healthy at all in the tobacco to give you that menthol taste and that is what gives you that burning in your lungs and throat when you smoke these it feels like you are smoking an spearmint gum but it all natural instead
if you do not like mint…then I recommend to try any of their other varieties
you have not had a real cigarette until you had a nat sherman
IMO i think the real unhealthy stuff is from the 4,000 chemicals all the other tobacco companies put in the stuff to make you addicted like formaldehyde and ammonia, don’t get me wrong we know you can still get cancer from tobacco but I believe this is still a better and healthier cigarette, you can feel it in your lungs
BTW the classic are really strong, i cannot even smoke those..probably the strongest cigarette in the world.
the really best thing is most times i cannot even finish a cigarette because it takes so long to burn which makes me smoke them less…so it is really worth the money, that is how big tobacco companies make their money, make them burn faster, which makes you light up more to get the fix, and they use chemicals to make it burn faster
Hmm, the Nat Shermans do look nice. But, when did they change the Dunhill International Reds? Even though I’m a menthol smoker, I always thought those were so smooth and sweet.
Hmm, they sound really good. If you can get them where you are, would you send me a pack to try? I can Paypal the money to you (isn’t it funny how Paypal has become a verb, kind of like Google also?).
Oh and did you ever go back for that nice sandalwood stuff, btw? I haven’t been following the perfume forum much. I wonder if that would help cover EoW, which I recently finally tried (blech!!).
no i have not gone back for the sandalwood and the sandalwood definitely would not cover EoW, it is way too light, you need something much heavier that is for sure
i can pick up a pack for sure it is I think $12.25 so it is expensive, i would just send it regular first class mail
I will pick one up next week when i go back to work you can only get it at select places
Nat Shermans are considered Luxury cigarettes, and most places like your local gas stations will not carry it, one of the problems is the way the packaging, it is not normal so it cannot be stored with the rest of the packs
also since it is more money then a pack of cigs, most people are not going to spend it especially nowadays
I do find it other places but I tend to only buy it at Nat Shermans in NYC the reason being is, I know it is freshest there, I have bought sometimes other places and found them to be stale because they just do not move fast enough
yeah i heard by september all flavored cigs will be off the market except menthol
stupidest thing of all…they are going to reduce nicotine on cigs..which basically means you have to take deeper inhales and smoke more cigs to get that same feeling you had before..which means more money in tobacco pockets..while smokers will actually get better chances of getting lung cancer…so how does this really help reduce smoker’s health?
you really do not want to know what i think about obama right now…i did not like him before and and think much less of him now..LOL
