I was wondering if I can try mixing a few drops of EOW with Instant Shine in a to go bottle
. If this seems like a good idea, how many drops would be advisable in the 5ml to go bottle of I/S? Lust After Me is out of stock. Would this be a good substitute? What other product could I use to get as close as possible to Lust After Me?
There are about 40 sprays in a to-go bottle, I think the contribution to total volume of a few drops of EOW would be fairly negligible - if it is an oil based product like say A314 - I haven’t seen it myself. So if you wanted the to-go to dispense say 1 drop of EOW for every 2 of Ishine you would add about 20 drops to the to-go. If you already sprayed a couple of sprays of Ishine to make a bit of room for the drops of EOW then 19 drops, etc…
I added a few drops of EOs to a couple of to-go mixes you see, and the volume didn’t change that much, whereas if I was mixing some other alcohol based sprays, I’d have to do the sums to take into account the “mutual dilution” effect.
If you can say how much volume in ml a drop of EOW typically contains I’ll give you an exact sum. Regardless, be sure to give your to-go a good shake before spraying as the oils tend to sink to the bottom. If EOW is like I think it is.
Thanks for responding to my questions Ntk23. I don’t think eow is oil based at all. At least it does not feel oily in any way. I believe it may be alcohol based. I could be wrong. Someone please correct me if I am incorrect about this. Unfortunately, I don’t know the volume in ml in a drop of eow. But, I will start out with 19 drops of eow to the I/S and see how that works. Thanks again
.
EoW is not oil based, but I’m not sure what the base is.
OK, just googled it, it says alcohol… 7.5ml bottle, etc…
How many drops, do you know, are typically in a bottle of EOW? Hgirl1, if the volume of the to-go changes appreciably when you add the drops of EOW, then of course you need more sprays from the final to-go to get the dose you’re after. But it shouldn’t be a problem even though the bottles are different, if we get all the data in. I have to go to work now but I’ll return to this thread and see if I can find out some more about EOW. We don’t have to be accurate to 3 decimal places or anything, but we can get in the ballpark of 1 EOW/1 Instant Shine per application, or whatever you like ![]()
Hi nkt23, I read in a post recently in this forum that one drop of eow in the 5ml bottle will yield one-quarter to one-eighth of eow per spray. The drops are so tiny there is no signficant difference in the volume of liquid already in the bottle when I added the drops. However, I contacted the place where I purchased it and they will get back to me with the exact measurement per drop. I hope
