Test 1 : 1/20/10
First day of the spring semester : Oh how I’ve missed you school. I was beginning to mold in my basement next to my overheating PS3, overworked TV, and overcooked, blood red eyes.
Nevertheless, when I woke up from my sleep, I noticed something very unusual yet pleasantly nice: it’s warm. So as I rummage through my huge piles of clothing that has not been organized yet due to hating the mundane activity of cleaning, I realize that I don’t have to wear any of my long neck clothes which is awesome because I can spray the mones right onto my neck. So I do just that and apply just one shot of IG right onto the front of my neck, near my adam’s apple.
Before I go on to describe my day, I get a very, very slight headache from the smell - I blame it on my oversensitive nose. But it quickly dissipates and go meet up with two ladyfriends who serve as perfect test dummies for my first usage of mones: an Asian and White girl both about one year older than me.
Now, I’m not very good at finding body language, but what I do definitely pride myself in is the ability to pick out language and stresses in voice to determine a person’s mood and character - a very useful skill that I believe will serve me well in my usage of mones. So, as we walk to the dining hall, I notice no apparent hits from either of them; they are real quiet, but that doesn’t mean much as all three of us usually aren’t the talkative ones in any social situation. However, when we go to find what we want at breakfast, I decide to head over to the farthest away station only to be followed by both of them: a fairly odd situation given that neither particularly like the food in that station. When we ate, this notion was further reaffirmed when the Asian, who we will call Ali, said it didn’t taste very good. But the thing is, she already knew it would be bad! We’ve all been eating at this dining hall for a good 4 months now, and all have our personal opinions over certain foods. Why would she take it now, knowing the food would “suck” (I find it good enough). A fairly interesting event which I may be reading too much into, but hey, it’s my first day with mones and I’ll take any change in behavior, no matter how slight it is.
The second supposed hit comes from when we go to find our class (as all three of us are in the same class). Now, even though we all know this part of the campus well (My college is separated by 5 campuses, each extraordinarly big and spread apart), we have trouble traversing this one building which is notorious for being a maze. I suggest to them we go one way, which I am 100% sure is the correct way (In the end it turns out I am) but the white girl, who we will call Lucy, believes it’s another way. However, when she speaks up, there’s something I haven’t noticed ever before: a slight twinge of restraint and reservation of both emotions and words. She’s normally a quiet girl, but when she speaks, she is quite clear in her intentions. This was simply just not her speaking and while the normal person would not have been able to hear it, I was. A respect hit? Perhaps. Considering that I used to play the part of the comedian who, although got their attentions and laughter quite often, probably wasn’t ever seen as the most outstanding of citizens, this was kind of new to me.
At about 4 PM, before my second to last class, I reapply one shot of IG to my neck.
The last hit I noticed was when I was taking the bus back to my dorm with a girl that was in my class. Now, all of these girls I have mentioned live in the suite next to mine, so we all know each other pretty well. But being the guy who doesn’t always wanna hang out with others, I don’t really maintain any special close relationships with any of these girls; I am probably just another guy as replaceable as many other friends who aren’t close but are still kinda cool to hang out with. The bus ride back yielded a very different relationship with this girl, who we will call Anya.
Normally, we’re on very good terms; we joke a lot, especially in rascist and sexual jokes and she often times shows me the new things she bought (particularly because I have been branded as a fashionista amongst my friends). But on the bus ride back, she did something she’s never done with me before: vent. This may seem just like anothe emotional period many girls go through, but this was fairly significant because the only time I’ve ever seen her vent or reveal anything personal was to her boyfriend. I cheer her up through my usual string of rascist/sexual jokes, she laughs, and we end up splitting at the next bus stop.
The End.
Some pointers for myself and anyone else interested:
-
Grow some balls. The only class that I don’t share with friends, I didn’t attempt to sit next to any women because A) I really want to hear the professor and B) I lack balls. Obviously, this is something I need to remedy, and FAST.
-
Reread the sticky on IOI’s. Really need to work on that.
