Out and about today downtown. I experimented with TUTH.
Since I’m absolutely not going to wear TUTH to work , being around city people is the safest environment for testing it.
3 sprays total
1 to each shoulder
1 to back of neck
The first hit I got was from a female. We were crossing a big intersection, walking opposite directions. She was on her phone. She smiled and her eyes locked on mine, I held contact and smiled back. She stopped talking and stared without blinking. Even after walking past her she turned her head to look at me. I was worried that she would run into a pole because she wasn’t watching her pathway. At the last minute she turned around and kept walking( as did I ).
The way she looked at me and smiled it felt like she was acting as if I was winking and flirting with her. ( I wasnt)
Socially most women are more submissive and demure around me. Picture a traditional Japanese woman and you’ll get a clear idea. This particular lady was the complete opposite. She was bold and didn’t care about pushing boundaries. It was a behavior you would see more at a club that says something like
“hey baby look at you…mmm” lol
My gaydar was having a fit from her !
I kept laughing at how odd it was.
About ten minutes later I was walking around shopping. I was looking for craft materials for a particular project I was working on. I suddenly notice a girl about 7 maybe 8 years old standing next to me. She’s playing with the crystals on the shelves. Looks up at me , takes my hand and says " I like blue" she’s smily and giggly. She starts singing to me lol she’s singing about all the different colors in a cute adorable song, grabbing my arms and swinging herself from me. I’m stiff and frozen thinking this is the weirdest thing ever. She stops swinging and asks me to sing a song with her.
Ok. People have always been afraid of me, intimidated. Including children. I’m just way too serious for them. I thought that maybe the TUTH would intensify that, not make people cling to me. I’m baffled !
Her mom comes up and saying something like “there you are, we were looking for you”
The mom says time to go and the little girl says " can we bring her with, mom? Let’s make her dinner like last time ? Pleaaaasee?!" The mom looks very embarrassed and says “no we have to go now , remember the game ?”
Throughout all of this I feel like a teddy bear on the shelf or something. It was odd and uncomfortable. I didn’t hear the rest of their conversation as I snuck away as quietly as I could. Just before turning a corner the mom looks up at me and mouths " sorry.."
I don’t know if that was a common thing the girl does, trying to bring home strangers lol or if the spray had anything to do with it. But it was odd enough that It should be mentioned in my journal. I was not wearing any IO or any socials. Only TUTH. Solo.
Men were not as put off as I expected them to be. They were very friendly and smily and helpful. I noticed that I got more hits from older gentlemen mostly. Men of all ages seemed to be more aware of me, and actually more polite lol
Standing in line waiting to buy some things and a woman with two little boys squeezes behind me. It was a long line so we were waiting for a while. The boys kept bumping into me, grabbing my legs as they bent down to get toys off the shelf, one tried climbing up me to reach an item, got frustrated and motioned for me to help. ( another odd thing, kids interacting with me) I look up and notice that the mom is staring at me. Like dead stare. Straight face. Frozen with her hand stuck in her purse. I look down at the frustrated kid, spot what he’s looking for. I hand it to him and he grabs my hand while looking at it. ( Spider-Man action figure lol) the other boy grabs it from him and they start fighting over it, using me like a pole. I’m staring at the mom. And she’s just holding the same wide eyed stare, as if her kids weren’t there. Everyone’s shifting around uncomfortable. You know how it is with screaming kids. She tells them to quiet down, without blinking continues to stare. I feel weird and turn around. Act like I’m reading the magazines.
The kids are still making noise ( not as much though) and Its almost my turn to pay. I scoot up , as does the mom behind me. I suddenly feel something on my back and notice that she’s standing really close to me, looking at me in a serious non smiling way. She looked into my eyes then dropped her eyes down my body quickly and back up. I’ve studied things like this so I knew exactly what it meant. I’m embarrassed but try to keep my cool. Now she’s slightly grinning. My turn to pay. Cashier is asking me questions about my items and bagging etc.
“oh I like this stuff , good choice”. And " have you tried this before? What’s it like?" I kept thinking omg shut up and let me pay I just want to get out of here.
I’m very surprised at how much people are reaching out to me. It’s almost like IO but with a creepy vibe.
You could call it instant creepiness.
The perfect sound track to play with mom and her two kids would be out of tune clown music.
I pay and the cashier is giving me change and I suddenly feel something touch my butt. I thought oh it’s just the kids probably, I move out of the way , grab my bags and go. I was in a hurry to leave, people are creeping me out too much.
So. Three sprays huh ? Not doing that again.
